Nose amputation, the Charlie Kirk edition

Charlie Kirk runs Turning Point USA, an organization whose mission is right wing radicalization of college students.

Mr. Kirk has recently published a book explaining that college is a scam and everyone not looking for a job where you must have a degree, like a doctor, should open a business instead.

Rotten has taken over my niece's house

Rotten is my very large Siamese tomcat. He has that name because he is, in ways that can’t be described.

I’m boarding him at my niece’s house while I’m on vacation. My niece owns two big dogs - her Mastiff service dog and a 100-pound Heinz. They aren’t exactly cat friendly; I figured if the worst happens she could keep Rotten in her home office.

Well, the worst happened. Rotten has forced both the dogs into her home office and has taken over their dog bed.

When will the Republicans decide to ban sterilization?

In the hard right community there is a belief, the universality of which is not known at this time, that the only reason anyone should ever have sex is to have a baby.

Sterilization interferes with this belief.

Therefore, I feel it's only a matter of time before the everyone-must-be-pregnant crowd decides to try getting sterilization outlawed.

Idaho GOP will not criminalize miscarriage

https://idahocapitalsun.com/2022/07/16/no-exception-for-life-of-mother-included-in-idaho-gops-abortion-platform-language/

The 2022 Idaho GOP convention has ended, and it turned out about as well as expected.

The term "atrocity" comes to mind.

Get to know the name of Scott Herndon well. Herndon is an extremist from Bonner County who makes Paul Hill and Scott Roeder seem sweet and gentle. If you've ever been to Idaho's Kootenai County Fair you'll have seen a HUGE booth advocating the abolition of abortion. Herndon and his family run it. He's currently running unopposed for the state Senate, having unseated a long-term senator in the 2022 primary.

Well...Herndon cooked up a plank to the party platform that is so extreme not only does it not allow abortion to save the mother's life, it also criminalizes miscarriage. Fortunately slightly cooler heads prevailed and they amended Herndon's crap to take out the miscarriage crime. However, women will still die of ectopic pregnancies here.

In slightly good news, the platform no longer declares President Biden didn't win the election.

Lindell gets a boot-shaped state upside his backside!

https://www.ktvb.com/article/news/politics/elections/mypillow-mike-lindell-claims-of-idaho-2022-primary-fraud-baseless-state-official-says-mcgeachin-little/277-e1fda9ed-faab-4cf1-8bb7-67e980f91386

America's Crackhead returns with another dive into absolute batshit lunacy.

In this one, Trump's Favorite Fluffer sets down his electron microscope to claim Janice McGeachin, current lieutenant governor and future resident of Pocatello, really won the primary over incumbent Governor Little and it was fraud that handed it to Little.

Apparently you CAN win if you run in a state with 44 counties and lose forty of them, like she did.

Crimo was dressed as a girl when he allegedly performed the Highland Park Parade Shooting

https://wgntv.com/news/highland-park-parade-shooting/charges-to-be-announced-in-highland-park-mass-shooting/

?resize=274,478

WGN is carrying this photo of Crimo dressed in a wig, makeup and a cute outfit, and appears to have padded his chest. After the massacre he abandoned his gun on the fire escape and blended into the crowd to get away.

Is it possible the Hard Right was planning to use this guy to demonstrate how violent drag queens are and prove they need to be banned?

Does anybody here remember Brandon Brundridge?

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nascar/2022/07/02/brandon-brown-lets-go-brandon-chant-child-autism-book/7797838001/

We all know about the “Let’s Go Brandon” crap.

You may have also heard of eight-year-old Brandon Brundridge, an autistic boy who saw all the signs and thought they were cheering him on. These damned signs brought this little kid out of his shell. His mom reports that after seeing the signs he started doing things like learning to swim and riding his bike without training wheels. His mom wrote a kid’s book titled Brandon Spots His Sign.

This weekend, Brandon Brown brought Brandon’s family to the track to meet him and watch the Xfinity Series race he was in, and carried the cover of Brandon’s book on the hood of his car.

Unfortunately Little Brandon didn’t get a chance to join Big Brandon in Victory Lane because the 68 got caught up in The Big One and was knocked out of the race, but it was still a really nice thing to do.

One thing I don't understand about Republicans...

Why are they not fighting to allow tax deductions for fetuses? You’d think that if a clump of cells the size of a lentil has all the rights of a born human, it should be worthy of a tax deduction…and, since pregnancy is the most expensive part of having a child, parents could really use the tax break.

Will the anti abortion states ban home pregnancy tests?

Unless they somehow manage to establish “pregnancy test checkpoints” at all airports and on every road leading out of a state - which would be extremely hard because every state has a lot of little back roads that cross the state line - the only way they could absolutely assure they knew who every pregnant woman was is to make sure all pregnancy testing was done in a doctor’s office.

So…what are the odds the antis will take home pregnancy tests off the shelves of stores?

Is gas starting to go down in your area?

Last week I filled up at a Chevron station that was charging $5 per gallon for regular. Last night I drove past the same station and they were at $4.94.

Still not great, but a little better.
