After a long car ride spent playing with watercolors and pencils, am now at Sagadahoc Bay Campground

We're supposed to get rain tomorrow so while Tim writes I'll either be reading in bed or painting in the screen porch. The Art Goddess bag is in the tent along with my new Strathmore w/c journal. (Which I almost forgot to pack!! It was new and precious, and therefore in a "safe place.&quot I had wanted to apply ground to the pages of the adventure journal, but life kept getting in the way of buying some. I'm going to paste in visual journal pages for now. And I stopped at Skidompha and paid $5 for the "Sketch!" book.

Started out as a plein air sketch..

On our last Acadia jaunt, I didn't just snap photos. I also plonked myself down on a stadium cushion perched on the edge of a ledge. I had stuffed my "everything-but-the-kitchen-sink" art goddess bag into my little osprey backpack, so I settled in and attempted to sketch the beach in pencil and watercolor. Finally finished it all these days later. LOL
