oh man, this is a great memory.
dr dean was in town for a fundraiser, as were almost all the active dems in the state. he wanted to press the flesh w some locals b4 the thing. the a list was busy, the b list was busy, the c list was busy. so Sean Tenner called me.
i actually got to meet the good doctor several more times. i’m putting a pair of buttons i made back then in his pocket, and he’s signing 1. 1 of them is him, w the words- brought to you by. there‘s pics of nickels and dimes and mice. the other is of bush. same words, only his is oil co logos, defense co logos. u get the idea.
the next time i saw him i asked him to sign the same button again. saw him at a couple parties at joe moore’s house.
he still speaks for me.

david sedaris’s santaland diaries. i heard it the 1st time it aired, and many xmases since.
used to be a regular on ‘this american life’, and it’s precursor ‘the wild room’.
arrested development- is it just me?
i tried watching it a while back, for some reason started w the 3rd season. wasnt impressed.
decided to give it another try recently. liked the pilot, liked season 1.
but half way through s 2, i just cant. it’s the same joke, ad nauseam.
just me? does it get better?
name a thing u must have in your adult life cuz u didnt have it as a kid?
i’ll start- dogs. we had an almost magic boxer from age 4-6. took in a fox terrier for a minute, but when it snapped at me, he was gone. took in a neglected 6 mo old puppy when i was 13. it was 7 yrs of my begging, whining, and dragging home every loose dog i came across.
my 1st house didnt allow dogs, so i was 25 before i could get a dog. have had at least 2 ever since.
i will always pity my da, animal lover he was, who only had those couple of yrs w biff.
