edbermac's JournalWhite House officials: Trump works so hard he often misses lunch.
https://twitter.com/jdickerson/status/1254558078105784320President Trumps schedule is so packed amid the coronavirus crisis that he sometimes skips lunch, his aides told The Post refuting a report that the commander-in-chief spends his days obsessing over TV coverage and eating fries.
White House staffers said the president works around the clock and can make five dozen work-related calls a day during the pandemic.
I can tell you that the biggest concern I have as a new chief of staff is making sure he gets some time to get a quick bite to eat, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows told The Post.
...
A different White House official said that Trump, some days, doesnt eat lunch.
There are times when lunch isnt even a thought, the official said. A lot of time theres either no time for lunch or there is 10 minutes for lunch.
...
I get phone calls from him early in the morning and at the end of the day, said Peter Navarro, director of the White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy.
I think I work hard. I put in probably 12 hour days seven days a week and he runs circles around all of us, Navarro said. He never seems to tire. So this idea that hes not working hard is just so absurd. Note to the New York Times: spending time in the morning reading all of the material thats given to him by his staff secretary, as well as virtually all of the newspapers, thats work. Thats not kicking back with a croissant.

Jerry Falwell Jr. Leaves Ominous Midnight Warning On Reporter's Voicemail
Jerry Falwell Jr., a leading evangelical Christian voice and close confidante of President Donald Trump, called a New York Times reporter around midnight and left an ominous voicemail.
Youre in some serious trouble, he said, per The New York Times.
The newspaper reported he also accused reporters of traveling to the university from New York and putting students at risk of coronavirus infection. The Times said they did not.
Falwell has been attacking the media, including the Times, following reports critical of his decision to partially reopen Liberty University last month during the ongoing pandemic. The Times said he threatened to sue the newspaper. He also had his campus police issue its own warrants against two journalists ― reporter Alec MacGillis of ProPublica and Times freelance photographer Julia Rendleman ― for allegedly trespassing.
Falwell, who is president of the university, is currently the subject of a class-action lawsuit accusing him of putting students at risk by partially reopening amid the pandemic. Lynchburg, Virginia Mayor Treney Tweedy described the decision to allow students back on campus after spring break as reckless.
Earlier this week, Liberty announced that two employees had tested positive, two were awaiting results and seven others had been asked to self-quarantine based on symptoms, according to the News & Advance, a newspaper in Lynchburg.

QAnon grifter was selling colloidal silver as a coronavirus treatment and cure
Dustin Nemos, a conspiracy theorist and grifter who co-wrote a bestselling QAnon book, was cashing in on the coronavirus pandemic by selling colloidal silver as a supposed treatment and cure through a Shopify store, which is no longer online after Media Matters contacted the e-commerce platform for comment.
Numerous hucksters have attempted to profit from the coronavirus pandemic by selling colloidal silver as a preventative and/or cure for COVID-19. The National Institutes of Healths National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health explains that colloidal silver consists of tiny silver particles in a liquid that is sometimes promoted on the Internet as a dietary supplement. However, evidence supporting health-related claims is lacking. In fact, colloidal silver can be dangerous to your health.
Nemos was one of 14 people who co-wrote the book QAnon: An Invitation to The Great Awakening, which became a bestseller on Amazon last year. QAnon is a violence-linked conspiracy theory which essentially claims that President Donald Trump is secretly working behind the scenes to take down the purported deep state, a supposed cabal of high-ranking officials who are operating pedophile rings.

Novelty toilet roll cakes keep Finnish baker in business.
HELSINKI (Reuters) - A quick-thinking Helsinki bakery has saved itself from financial ruin due to the new coronavirus pandemic by creating a cake that looks like a toilet roll.
The dismayed staff at the Ronttosrouva bakery found all their orders cancelled last month, at the same time as panicked consumers began to hoard toilet roll. This sparked the idea of a toilet roll cake made of oat batter, passion fruit mousse and covered with white fondant.
The first five cakes sold within an hour, baker Uliana Timofeeva told Reuters, and the cake became a social media hit.
The bakery now has hundreds of orders and its owner Saana Lampinen has even been able to hire two extra people to her 9-member team.
For us its a game changer and I am relieved because I know all my employees are safe for months now, she said.

Himalayas visible 125 miles away in India for 1st time in 30 yrs after lockdown saw pollution drop.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11356594/himalayas-visible-india-coronavirus-pollution/THE HIMALAYAS are now visible from India as the coronavirus pandemic led to a massive drop in pollution.
Residents have said the air has cleared amid the governments 21-day lockdown to fight the outbreak, allowing them to see the towering peaks 125 miles away from Punjab for the first time in 30 years.
Locals from the Jalandhar district in Punjab have taken to social media to show off incredible pictures of the snow-capped Himalayas.
The mountain-range is the worlds highest with elevations of up to 24,000ft and includes the worlds tallest peak, Mount Everest.
India has a population of around 1.3billion people have last year had the worlds most polluted cities, according to pollution monitors at IQAir.
The 21-day lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic has however seen cars taken off the roads and businesses out of operation.
And the decline in air pollution has coincided with the reappearance of the Himalayas.
Residents have claimed it is the first time they have seen the peaks, and thanked the improving air quality for the incredible view.
India's Central Pollution Board said the nationwide lockdown has resulted in significant improvement in air quality in the country.

Remember Trump just rolled back the Obama-era vehicle mileage standards but what the hell, pollution is good for us!
Illinois Mayor Sends Police To Break Up Parties. They Found His Wife At One Of Them.
The mayor of a small city in Illinois warned citizens that he had ordered police to break up parties and issue citations to enforce the states stay-at-home orders that are meant to slow the coronavirus pandemic. But when the officers did so, they found his wife at one such gathering.
These are very serious times and Im begging you to please stay at home, Alton Mayor Brant Walker said on Saturday. Parents, please keep your kids at home, doing so is vital to our health.
On Monday, Walker issued a statement on Facebook saying police had found his wife at a bar in the city that was operating in violation of Gov. J.B. Pritzkers stay-at-home orders. Walker said he was embarrassed and apologized to his constituents.
My wife is an adult capable of making her own decisions, and in this instance she exhibited a stunning lack of judgement [sic], he wrote. She will face the same consequences for her ill-advised decision as the other individuals caught at the event, he added.
Walker did not provide the name of his wife nor was she identified in local news reports.
Police told the Alton Daily News that officers broke up a party at Hirams Tavern early Sunday. The owner was arrested on an outstanding warrant for domestic battery while others in attendance received citations for reckless conduct.
Alton is a city of some 26,000 people, located about 20 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri.
