Isn't this actually about one of Trump's cronies' ambition to buy TikTok?

And naturally, Trump just might be a silent partner in this scheme? I recall something about Trump's Secretary of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, having a plan to buy TikTok, along with other unnamed investors.

Simply put, Charlie Kirk and his moronic "show" are ashtray material.

If you want a taste of the extremism you'll see and hear on the "Charlie Kirk Show", you can visit this subreddit, which keeps tabs on Kirk and his allies.

This is exactly the kind of garbage you can expect from Charlie Kirk, who has become noticeably more extreme since the 2020 election. Kirk's program is carried by "Real America's Voice", a far-right streaming and cable TV channel that also features people like Steve Bannon and Ted Nugent.

This is now a mainstream position among radtrad Catholics and many evangelicals...

...particularly those in the most conservative churches. Trump must be in a quiet panic about this issue, because he keeps bringing it up, and for a very practical reason which he states publicly: this could cost him the election. There is no way Trump or the RNC can spin this to make it look like anything other than an untenable, extremist position--notwithstanding Raymond Arroyo's nightly attempts on EWTN to do just that.

Views like this would have seemed unthinkable in the mainstream just a few years ago, and we now have Kristi Noem and others going on the "Sunday Talking About Stuff" shows to say it out loud in front of the whole nation.

LOL, I was hoping Tom Tomorrow would use "stollen" in a cartoon...

...Trump sure misspells "stolen" often enough. In fact, I have several screenshots of that particular Trump malapropism, saved to my flash drive file--"Trump misspellings and grammar"--as they have appeared here at DU over the years.

Mmm, stollen...

These are the same idiots who put their money into that Iraqi dinar scam...

...from a few years ago.

Trump's dumbass followers somehow distorted his comments into a fantasy scenario whereby Trump would "revalue the dinar", making any small holder of the currency into a millionaire overnight.

The Chapo Trap House podcast satirized the fools who fell for the scam, and they did not hold back their customary venom in doing so.

EWTN may be even *worse* than Fox "News" in some ways. Fox at least attempts...

...to occasionally have a token lib or (rarely) an actual left-winger on their programs. Whereas EWTN has created a sort of media simulacrum which is entirely hermetically sealed from any outside influence. Raymond Arroyo's show (The World Over) is unquestionably the worst when it comes to propaganda and distortion. I have never seen even a single token opponent on his show. And Arroyo has the the same three or four far-right guests on a nearly constant basis; he also is a frequent visitor and substitute host on Laura Ingraham's TV and radio shows.

Pretty sure you can blame DJ Tice for that. Last I checked...

...he ran the editorial page, and he seems to have surrounded himself with a bunch of yes-men. They all seem to have it in for Omar, and as you have noted, they take constant potshots at her. Tice is also buddies with the execrable Katherine Kersten of the Center for the American Experiment. Just this past Sunday, she was given a half-page of the commentary section for yet another of her perpetual jeremiads.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Still, it's amazing that the old Cold Warriors...

...of the Republican party have given way to pathetic appeasers of dictators like Putin. Anyone who grew up during the '80s has to be utterly disoriented by how radical the shift has been. What was truly mindblowing for me was hearing Trump's RNC chairman include Ukraine among China and Iran as one of our "aggressive adversaries" on Fox "News". I am old enough to remember the tail end of the Cold War and the early career of Newt Gingrich as a neo-McCarthyite red-baiter. Now the far-right sets new lows in servility to tyrants, including those like Putin who pine for the glory days of the old USSR. How times have changed!

This must be the latest topic on the weekly blast-fax...

...from all the far-right "think" tanks and foundations. I've heard plagiarized versions of this on far-right media including radtrad Catholic outlets (EWTN, Relevant Radio): "free stuff Democrat party birth control evil blah blah blah". And of course, the hostility to birth control comes with the territory when you're listening to radtrad radio and TV. I'm starting to wonder if some of the Opus Dei fronts like the Ethics and Public Policy Center are behind this. It sounds like a really lame and clumsy attempt to mainstream a totally extremist Church hardline that no one follows.
