keep_left's JournalWell, we know what he told Howard Stern about his "accident" with Marla Maples.
https://www.democraticunderground.com/100217853237#post12I think the story behind the ultra-trad habit is on YouTube.
Mother Angelica went on her dumb show after hearing about the Passion play (which was at World Youth Day in '93, I think). As would be expected out of the perpetual scold, she went on and on, "I hate you, liberal Church", etc. She should have been bounced from her network right then and there, as she never even bothered to go up the chain of command...always on the attack, hotheaded as hell, damn the consequences. Ultimately, she did lose the network and was forced to turn it over to a lay board at the last minute. It was taken over by Catholic neocons (and more recently, radtrads) who have destroyed what little of it was even worth saving.
Thank God for "deplatforming". Because most of the social media companies did the right thing...
...we're all a little saner and safer, without constant threats of violence and revolution all because someone online didn't like vaccines or free elections. "Deplatforming" even rid of us of losers like "Roosh V" who finally had to grow up and get a job once the MRA/PUA gravy train came to a dead end. (He's also an admitted sex tourist/rapist, so it put an end to that as well). I for one am glad for the weeping and gnashing of teeth of incels and fascists the world over now that they don't have an easy platform to watch the world burn--and to contribute to the conflagration.
Well, you'll really be creeped out if you watch or listen...
...to radtrad media, especially "traddier than thou" types like EWTN or (Ir)-Relevant Radio.
In the '90s, the late Mother Angelica (EWTN) blew a gasket over a female actor portraying Christ in a Passion play; in response, and nearly overnight, she changed her convent's mode of dress back to an ultra-trad nun's habit not seen since the 1940s. Mother Angelica also carried on a feud with Cardinal Mahony over an angels-on-the-head-of-a-pin theological dispute regarding one of Mahony's written documents that was completely imagined on her part; she failed to actually read the document fully, and then when confronted with proof, she said "I don't do footnotes". Mother Angelica was censured and almost lost her network over that. (You could certainly say that she greatly overestimated her position in the chain of command).
Radtrad Catholic media is really a trip; they pound away at doctrine hour after hour, day after day. Everyone must parrot the exact same line with zero deviation, and they are obsessed about anyone, anywhere that might be the least bit "heterodox". The unintentional effect is that they have driven many away from the Church.
What a surprise. A "scholar" at the execrable Claremont Institute.
The "think" tank whose members slave like stevedores in their attempt to drag the country into a new Dark Ages. Claremont is arguably the strongest supporter of a so-called "Red Ceasar". Claremont also publishes several make-work "journals", par for the course with wingnut welfare, including American Greatness (which is focused on far-right politics in general and the the Trump regime in particular).

Even if they did "back off the IVF controversy", it's too late...
...in places like Alabama, where court decisions have come down that are not easily reversed. Not to mention, there is a little problem inside the Republican party: nutcase religious fundamentalists, many (but not all) of the radtrad Catholic variety, who will always push for the most extreme "pro-life" agenda no matter how harmful it is to women. Anyone who has the slightest doubt should watch a couple days worth of fundamentalist TV like EWTN.
I do remember that a Canadian pharmacy was caught trafficking...
...Ozempic to southern California in general and to Hollywood in particular. Apparently Ozempic and the other GLP-1 diabetes meds are very popular for weight loss with Hollywood royalty. The Canadian pharmacy (in Vancouver, I think) was shipping Ozempic at something like 10,000% the normal rate, and all of it was being exported.
I'm sure Ozempic is expensive pretty much everywhere, but the trafficking meant that in addition to the cost, patients with diabetes couldn't even get the drug. It's still in very short supply at the moment.
Nothing shows the American death drive like this antivax insanity.
It started with the Covid vaccines: "OMG, baby parts! Bill Gates nanochips!". Now we have a major measles outbreak because public health officials are so cucked by the far right that they won't even do their job. So it's likely that in the future, we will have children with permanent lifelong injury from infection with measles, a completely preventable outcome.
Yep, I remember her from Fox. She was a foreign policy reporter there IIRC.
I'm also pretty sure she was one of the reporters who left in the wake of the multiple sexual harassment scandals at Fox. Roger Ailes said some pretty egregious things about Herridge (and others) that came back to haunt him when the legal cases began to pile up.
Jack "Prilosec" once again grifting CPAC because he can't hold down a real job.
That has an ironic circular logic to it, since his erstwhile alt-right grift had the predictable consequence of costing him his security clearance. Whoops--there goes that cushy career in the Navy!

And who is that to Posobiec's left? Steve Bannon?! I guess that figures since the event was being covered by the Real America's Voice "network" (basically a glorified YouTube channel). Bannon is one of the "stars" on RAV.
