hedgehog's JournalAre there conspiracies to bring down the Obama Presidency?
I think the answer is yes.
Given what we know about the Koch brothers, the Te Party and even Republican Congressional Leadership, we know there are conspiracies out there.
So given that knowledge, knowing that there were multiple groups with reasons and means to kill Kennedy, I'd say a conspiracy there is at least possible.
Given the number of people with the means and reasons to cover up any conspiracy, I think we will never know for sure.
Proof you live some place with real winter:
- you listen to the radio every morning for school closings, and can recite the name of every school district within 60 miles, in alphabetical order.
Kennedy's assassination: Conspiracy or lone killer, I think the fact that we even ask the question
is significant.
If someone suggests conspiracy in regard to most events, isn't our knee jerk response to get out the tin foil hats? Yet discussions of the Kennedy assassination depend on reams of carefully collected data to prove that it was a lone gunman. Why isn't the suggestion dismissed out of hand?
"man up", "tough love": just how many euphemisms does the NFL use to describe bullying?
I have a love/hate relationship with Friday Night Lights - it's a great show, but the culture it examines is totally disgusting to me!
Huh
I just found out that one of my first cousins on my father's side has the same autoimmune disorder I have - Sjogren's. It's surprising because autoimmune disorders run so strongly on my mother's side!
I've read that the Pope has asked the bishops to poll lay Catholics on
such hot button issues as clerical celibacy and contraception. There's been a lot of discussion of how to go about this. My question has been raised before - who is a Catholic? Is someone who was baptized, given First Communion and confirmed but who hasn't been to Mass in 20 years a Catholic? What if that person has been away over the precise issues involved?
Now - this is my kind of Art!

"How are you feeling today?"
"Pretty Good!"
then, as the visit proceeds, you notice that ache in your hips, and that sore wrist, and recall this and that that you've been placing in the background so you can get on with your life!
So the entire visit was punctuated with - "um, it hurts here, too. Not too bad, but it hurts."
