Republican reactions falls into 3 categories at this point:

1. People who have no clue how the justice system/law operates.

2. People who know how it works but think Trump should be treated differently.

3. People who know how it works and aren’t saying much because they know.

FYI the reason Trump GOP are trying to push the “FBI planting evidence” story is that they are trying to get ahead of how sensitive the docs Trump was hiding and the million dollar follow up question: Why the hell would he take such documents and what did he plan to do with them?

I do sincerely hope that the former guy's counseled and wise decision to exercise his right to remain silent at his civil deposition will not prevent him from continuing to make incriminating statements on television and social media.

Not to worry. His pleading the 5th was advisory and strategic. Him making incriminating statements on TV and social is impulsive and pathological.
