Not sure if Ivanka even noticed the outcry about border separations of parents from their children, and whether if she did she would care. (She wouldn’t.) She doesn’t like to be reminded of poor people, like the ones in her sweatshops. And since Ivanka’s poverty wages to her workers in countries like Indonesia separate families because parents literally cannot afford to live with their children, it is simply a case of “like father, like daughter.”

If you thought that was the end of things and that maybe Ivanka would go away and leave us alone, too bad for you. Now she wants to sell Chinese people a baby blanket and a coffin! Two things you never ever want to see in the same sentence. Ok, so, she’s not really trying to sell baby coffins, or maybe she is, but not exclusively baby coffins. Coffins come in all sizes, and what better business is there for a Trump than selling boxes to put dead bodies in? That’s right. It just fits.
This is the 13th trademark China has approved for her company, Ivanka Trump Marks LLC, in three months, and yes, it is suspect as hell. Many are wondering if this is related to Trump deciding to give a helping hand to Chinese smartphone maker ZTE (it is), or if it’s just regular ass corruption (it is). In the Trump world “corruption” and “business” mean the same exact thing. Ivanka can now sell all kinds of stuff to the Chinese that they probably don’t need, and China can keep its relationship with Trump from turning out like Qatar. Pretty sure China doesn’t want to have to pump half a billion dollars into Ivanka Trump’s brand to get back in “good graces” with Trump.

Media outlets have obligingly offered up detailed explainers of the internet’s strange subculture of “involuntary celibates” and their violent hatred of the women who want nothing to do with them. As someone who has been writing about the male supremacist movement on my blog We Hunted the Mammoth for nearly eight years ― and as someone who wrote one of these explainers myself ― I think most of these “incel 101” pieces have been useful and accurate.
The real question is: Why are they still necessary? Since the flurry of the 2016 election and its aftermath, we’ve had over two years’ worth of field guides to the poisonous online wastelands in which nationalism, fascism and bigotry fester. Why are we only now shining the light on the role patriarchy plays in the petri dish?

Maybe you were a big fan of Kanye’s music and now you feel personally let down by how hard he’s trying to be the absolute worst.
Maybe you are a decent human who recognizes that Trump and his administration are hateful trashmonsters working diligently to make marginalized populations (and like, half of the global population) more unsafe and you are concerned to see a high profile music idol sing his praises to the delight of countless racist trolls.
Maybe you have read a book or two in your life or have a shred of empathy or are not completely drowning in anti-blackness - or due to being a human being walking around in the world you able to guess that 99.9% of humans do not like being dragged across the world in chains, bought and sold, tortured their entire lives, forced to work for free, starved, raped, and murdered - and have realized that black people were most likely not slaves by choice.

During deliberations, they returned to ask the judge "whether consent can be withdrawn." The judge noted that it could, especially in cases where intercourse has turned violent and thus "no longer consensual." Way was convicted of second degree rape.
The state Supreme Court, however, disagreed with the lower court's interpretation of withdrawn consent. "If the actual penetration is accomplished with the woman's consent, the accused is not guilty of rape, although he may be guilty of another crime because of his subsequent actions," the High Court wrote.

Explains some the high drama crap
I think Trump was ultimately elected by racists, sexist and assholes, but those people were enabled by bad information I guess. The thing is, it’s not that hard to find Hillary’s record of service, but the will had to be there. So many WANTED to think the worst, WANTED to spin out of control. To the point of seemingly be unable to process properly.
Anywhere you turned there was trolling. We found our “safe spaces” We Hillary supporters, as best we could. We were trolled even there. It wasn’t enough to overcome the manipulated distaste so many felt for her. Even today, the “bad candidate” meme is still out there. Trump was no secret. He never should have had a chance. Whatever Hillary’s faults, there aren’t enough for one single vote for Trump.
And here we are. I am still angry. The thing the right doesn’t understand, with all their ‘trigger a liberal” cringy nonsense, is the right is history, they need to be fought, because we are evolving past them, nobody is going back. Joy-Ann Reid had a great article on that. But there are elements of the left, who cling to the Democratic Party while constantly tearing it down, without even the moral courage to openly go third party. I can deal with third party people. I get them. I can’t deal with, or rather, am “triggered” by the enemies within.
I’m not talking about criticism or “echo chambers”. The day we stop improving and evolving is the day we die as a party, we have to be open to criticism, we can’t afford to be an echo chamber. I’m talking about the ego-driven assholes who simply use the Democratic Party to shout their shit in front, and talk their shit in back.

As whites slowly become a minority of sorts, in population, if not money and power, the edge in money and power is slowly being lost. This seems to drive some white folks crazy. It drives others who accept Whiteness as a standard crazy. We’ve never had to confront the actual repercussions of the erosion Whiteness as the dominant cultural standard. Some of us are uneasy—we were always so GOOD at cultural appropriation, we took credit where it was by no means due. We’ve done this for centuries. We’ve led the way in modern times anyway, when another culture has something interesting or attractive or genius, we created the culture of cultural theft.
And, to coin a phrase, time is up.
So much of what the right is, is reactive—anger and fear. Trump is everything diseased and damaged about Whiteness (which, so there is no mistake, does not mean white people as a whole, I know many of us are great people. I hate that I have to qualify this though, because people will misunderstand what Whiteness is, or think it merely an acedemic exercise) and about patriarchy.
Such bitter, angry, violent reactions everywhere. Trumps election even being possible . A powerful woman as a perennial scapegoat, the whole idea of libertarianism. The resurgence of the “alt-right” —a number of who started with Men’s Rights Activism fuckery. Men’s Rights Activism fuckery becoming almost mainstream—not quite, but too close. All that anger directed toward people with non-white skin and non-compliant women.
Still. Time is up.
