Exactly

Hubs was a material scientist for NASA. That morning, before he left for work, he said, "they better not launch." He knew all the parts had not been tested, specifically the seals, at those temps.

It WAS indeed Reagan's fault, his pressure. And apparently some in management valued their positions above lives. And we know Repubs can't be reasoned with.

BRAVO❗

Words lost on the great majority of consumers.

Ignorance is spelling our doom.

Wow! Still have friends there?

We've close friends at Tonji University but we speak practically no Chinese. Was so pleased to learn that so many folks there know English. (Spent 6wks there in 2010; also visited Bejing.)

He had one of the sexiest voices on the planet.

Nevertheless, I've remained very upset with him/ his legacy for being a no-show at the Hampton Coliseum back in the mid '80's.

He was there BUT was too inebriated to appear on stage and sing.

There was such loud booing after that announcement! Plus, there was no offer of refund for the tickets.
🤬

Yes, sadly, we were 😔

Good question.

"the postmaster general serves at the pleasure of the USPS board for an indefinite term."

Biden, in playing "by the book," is working on replacing Board members. He could, however, just fire DeJoy.

Surprise, surprise, the RW's goal is to privatize our mail service -- their perpetual motto, as we know, is profits before country.

We used to have many bats in our neighborhood.

They would fly close and almost silently swoop by our heads when we were walking late at night. I suppose that we were attracting mosquitoes which attracted the bats.

Since the mosquitoes and other nightly flying insects in the vicinity seem to have now been mostly eradicated (?), we do not see the bats anymore...I miss them.

Important paragraph...

Overconsumption and the climate crisis could lead to water levels so low that downstream flows to hydroelectric plants would stop," tweeted UNEP, which would jeopardize access to electricity for millions of people in western states.

Overconsumption AND climate crisis❓
Human overconsumption has lead to Earth's climate crisis❗

Aug 9, 2021 — “It has been clear for decades that the Earth's climate is changing, and the role of human influence on the climate system is undisputed,”...

Yikes! Holy crap!

That's going to upset many folks' travel plans.

Btw...
Hubby's 2nd cousin is currently a pilot for American; her mom, now retired, was a flight attendant for American for almost 30yrs. Yep, her daughter is a female pilot.

A few yrs ago, her dad, hubby's 1st cousin, was #2 hotair balloonist in the U.S.
Guess that family loves the skies.

He took us up ballooning a couple of times. Thinking I might be afraid, he kept asking me the first time if I were okay.
Crap, I told him, I had skydived a few yrs before that. Ballooning was just nice, not scary.

One of his finest! 👏

We saw him and The Range post concert 20yrs ago in our local Wmsbrg McDonald's ordering right before closing late one night, just as we were. It was one of those double-take moments. Williamsburg is his home town.
