Support for Legislation to Permanently End the Slaughter of Horses.

More than 200 Veterinarians Express Support for Legislation to Permanently End the Slaughter of American Horses

A ban on horse slaughter passed the House of Representatives in 2021 as part of the transportation and infrastructure package, but the Senate did not adopt similar language in its version of the bill. A House subcommittee unanimously approved the SAFE Act in June. Since then, however, progress on the bill has stalled despite strong bipartisan support.

😸

Our brat walked across the keyboard recently & royally fucked up our computer. We're waiting for our brilliant, very tech savvy kiddo to come home for Christmas to fix it.

YES, yes indeed!!

Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

And how about humans' devastation of the rainforests

Speaking of what-about-isms...

You're probably not a fan of Al Gore either. He is right.

75 acres was not an atypical tobacco farm in E TN in the 1950s

My father worked a job too.

For your information:
"In 1987, the average tobacco farm was just 4.6 acres, and run mostly with family labor."

https://www.openmarketsinstitute.org/publications/forgotten-history-small-scale-american-tobacco-farming

Ok, call it a hobby farm then, if that makes you feel all the more superior.
My grandfather owned two 1,000+ acre farms where cattle grazed.
And my hubby's grandfather owned a 2000+ acres cotton farm in Arkansas.

Further info for your edification:
Eastern farms were much smaller than those in Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, etc.

And when did it become acceptable on a democratic forum to make fun of poorer people?

Cats kill very few chicken and who calls rabbits livestock, unless they are raised and slaughtered for their fur (awful business)? And even then, they are protected.

Have some more fun, you arrogant cat-hater.

We have to sneak out the door or our rescued baby brat...

...will run out. She begs. She stays full of food but still longs for the sport of hunting. She's just a born hunter/killer - she hunts for the thrill of it. This instinct is especially intense with her.

A few years ago rescuers found her and her kittens. It appeared that she had kept herself and her kittens well fed until they were all rescued. Thank goodness for rescue groups.

We had to sign a pledge when adopting her that she would never, ever be released outside. We gladly did.

We live in a designated bird sanctuary and know that if our baby brat were out, the neighborhood would be missing dozens of beautiful eastcoast migrating birds. She sits at our windows to chatter at the birds she sees.

I spent 6wks traveling inside China in 2010.

I lost count of the number of times my possessions were searched and my body was x-ray'ed. Yep, a LOT of unnecessary x-rays -even within the same airports!! I began to worry about possible damage to my brain.

I never would have presumed I could have gotten away with anything even smelling of any sort of contraband. D.H. and I knew we would have been held and charged.

So, yes, I think Brittany was, at best, being extremely naive.
