Lawsuit: White Fla. Teacher Fired for Having Black Boyfriend

http://www.theroot.com/articles/news/2015/08/lawsuit_white_florida_teacher_fired_for_having_black_boyfriend.html

A former Orange County, Fla., schoolteacher says her choice in mate, music and friends is the reason she was fired from her job, and she has filed a lawsuit seeking justice.

According to WESH, Audrey Dudek, a former math teacher at Edgewater High School, claims she was fired in 2013 after school officials learned that her then-boyfriend, now husband, is black.

"This isn't about sending a message," Suzanne Tzuanos, an Orlando attorney whose firm is handling Dudek's case, told the news station. "This is about getting justice for a teacher who was terminated unlawfully."

According to the lawsuit viewed by WESH, school officials were "shocked and offended" after learning that Dudek's husband, Stacey Cobb, is black, and that she associated with black faculty members. The lawsuit also alleges that some faculty didn't like Dudek because she played "black music" in her classroom and some students had dubbed her classroom, "Club Audrey."

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —A former Orange County school teacher is suing the school district. She claims she was discriminated against, and the evidence in the case is causing one state group to believe she has a case.

In a lawsuit filed Wednesday, the former Edgewater High School math teacher, Audrey Dudek, is suing the school district, claiming she was discriminated against, when administrators learned her boyfriend was black.

"This isn't about sending a message. This is about getting justice for a teacher that was terminated unlawfully," said Suzanne Tzuanos, Orlando attorney.

Tzuanos' firm is representing Audrey Dudek, the teacher who was let go in 2013. According to the lawsuit, the school's principal at the time and assistant principal treated her differently "because she closely associated with non-whites," according to a report. The lawsuit alleged that school officials were "shocked and offended" when they learned her now husband, Stacey, was black and that her classroom was called "Club Audrey" because she played "black music" and associated with non-white faculty members.

Alison Parker’s Father: WDBJ Shooter ‘Messed with the Wrong Family’

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/alison-parkers-father-wdbj-shooter-messed-with-the-wrong-family/

Andy Parker, the father of slain WDBJ reporter Alison Parker, continued his public campaign to force action on gun violence prevention following last week’s shooting, with an even more impassioned appearance on CNN’s State of the Union with Jake Tapper Sunday morning.

“I’ve done a lot of media interviews, as you probably know, and a lot with CNN, and with the exception of one news organization that you can probably figure out that will go unnamed, everyone has been so kind and considerate of our family,” Parker said at the top of the interview, likely referring to his recent interaction with Megyn Kelly on Fox News.

“I think that’s my fear is that, you know, this is going to be a big news story for a weekend, and then, you know, it’s on to the next one,” Parker told Tapper. “But, but, you know, we cannot let this drop. And I think this is different. This time this is different, because, Alison was one of you guys. I mean, she was part of the media. And it could have been, you know, it could have been anyone out there doing this.”

Specifically, Parker cited a “gun violence restraining order” law in California that “probably would have prevented” the death of his daughter had it been able to pass in Virginia. He vowed to keep hammering this issue until something meaningful was done.

56. sorry Scorp

that does not make any logical sense

but I get it, I guess. Trayvon is black and that is all that matters.

And we love our shibboleths, and the hatred of those who mispronounce.

"We all agree with that assessment"

Well, it sure seems that way since anybody who dared to disagree would be set upon by a lynch mob of the compassionate.

Vice President Hulk Hogan? Disgraced wrestler wants to be Donald Trump’s running mate

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/hulk-hogan-donald-trump-running-mate-article-1.2341528

It’s the most politically incorrect political pairing ever: A tag team of Donald Trump and Hulk Hogan.

Wrestler Hogan — his career in the tank after recordings emerged of him going on a racist rant — told TMZ Sports he’d love to join the bombastic reality star and GOP front-runner.

“I wanna be Trump’s running mate,” Hogan said. “Did you hear that? Vice President Hogan!”

The WWE scrubbed all mentions of its biggest star from its website in July.

Sounds about right.

At home on the farm with Deez Nuts (15 year old Presidential candidate)

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/local/kyle-munson/2015/08/25/deez-nuts-president-2016-iowa-brady-olson-wallingford/32249209/

Wallingford, Ia. – Turns out the presidential candidate with whom I identify most might be Brady Olson, the northwest Iowa boy who has upended this summer’s traditional campaign story line nearly as much as Donald Trump.

If you’re unfamiliar with Brady, 15, perhaps you recognize his notorious political alter-ego: the faux candidate known as “Deez Nuts.” I remember being a rather shy rural Iowa teen, intrigued by the wider world, nervously anticipating my sophomore year of high school. Although I didn't even run for class president, let alone president of the United States.

Olson suddenly — and unwittingly to some extent — was transformed from a high school golfer, baseball pitcher, basketball player and percussionist into a national political force that has polled better than seasoned governors and lawmakers four times his age. He reached 7 percent support in one Iowa poll. Technically, Brady needs to be 20 years older to qualify as a candidate. But Deez Nuts already is on the ballot in 30 states.

I was just the second journalist — after a TV reporter from Minnesota — to traipse onto the Olson farmstead to pick this unlikely newcomer's political brain.

I'd rather vote for Deez Nuts than Herr Trump
