Call bullshit on Pence. Said on faux that we have

screened 47,000 people at airports in US for virus. I flew 5 legs in US during this time and never saw any inkling of screenings. Could he mean international flights?

On edit...
Guess I was wrong...
https://www.washingtonpost.com/transportation/2020/01/30/us-health-officials-expand-screening-new-coronavirus-20-airports/?outputType=amp

The CDC began screening at Los Angeles International, John F. Kennedy International and San Francisco International airports earlier this month as concerns about the new coronavirus began to increase. Last week, the agency began enhanced screening of passengers at two additional airports, Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson and Chicago O’Hare International.

CDC officials said the five airports were chosen because roughly 90 percent of the passengers arriving from Wuhan either on direct or connecting flights flew through them. But efforts to ensure all arriving passengers came through those airports proved difficult. Expanding screening to 15 additional airports where the CDC has quarantine stations in place poses less of a logistical challenge and will enable officials to reach 95 percent of travelers coming from China, officials said.

The screenings, which focus on travelers from Wuhan, involve having them fill out a form detailing their travel and contacts while in Wuhan and whether they are experiencing any symptoms. They also have their temperatures taken.

Here are the 20 airports where travelers will undergo additional screening:

Los Angeles International
John F. Kennedy International
O’Hare International
San Francisco International
Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson
Anchorage Ted Stevens International
Boston Logan International
Dallas-Fort Worth International
Detroit Metropolitan
El Paso International
Honolulu International
Houston George Bush International
Miami International
Minneapolis-St. Paul International
Newark Liberty International
Philadelphia International
Puerto Rico’s San Juan International
San Diego International
Seattle-Tacoma International
Washington Dulles International
In addition to expanding screening, Messonnier said health officials would distribute 350,000 cards to travelers arriving from China with information about the coronavirus and where to call if they think they may have symptoms of the virus. The cards were already being distributed to passengers who arrived at airports that did not have enhanced screening in place.

"Older Voters " like it's a dirty word

Maybe it’s time to listen to the people who have years of accumulated memory and wisdom.

Baby Boomers took to the streets against Vietnam

They remember life when there was dignity in our leaders and traditions,

They knew and acted when there was a bad President - Nixon

Perhaps in this crazy time with this horror in office, we should listen when they say we need the antithesis of trump as
our leader. Coupled with a youthful, energetic and optimistic VP! (Just like one of their grandkids)

The medical world should name the specific nausea

one gets when they see trump and hear him speak. It's truly a real thing.

Anyone travel a lot by air in February?

Reading up on the botched evacuation of Wuhan and the hearing about what the whistleblower said about health care escorts traveling freely and unprotected on commercial flights to their home bases.

The US, like many other countries, is evacuating its citizens from Wuhan. The US is quarantining people who arrive in from Wuhan at military bases for 14 days after their arrival. Passengers who arrive on commercial flights from China are being rerouted to certain US airports, where they may face quarantine.Feb 6, 2020

Haven't been able to find a list of the airports they are referring to.

I flew between Dallas and Hartford and Hartford and Chicago and Chicago and Dallas all during this period of time.

I know, chances of infection minute, but still brings me pause to think it's all so secretive and loose. And many evacuees and escorts weren't even tested.

Wisconsin appeals court overturns order to purge more than 200,000 voters from rolls
A Wisconsin court of appeals handed Democrats a win on Friday by overturning a ruling that sought to purge up to 209,000 people from voter registration rolls.

The ruling gives a boost to Democrats in a state that's poised to play a decisive role in the 2020 presidential race. President Trump won Wisconsin by fewer than 23,000 votes in 2016.

Explainer: Coronavirus reappears in discharged patients, raising questions in containment fight
David Stanway, Kate Kelland
SHANGHAI/LONDON (Reuters) - A growing number of discharged coronavirus patients in China and elsewhere are testing positive after recovering, sometimes weeks after being allowed to leave the hospital, which could make the epidemic harder to eradicate.
On Wednesday, the Osaka prefectural government in Japan said a woman working as a tour-bus guide had tested positive for the coronavirus for a second time. This followed reports in China that discharged patients throughout the country were testing positive after their release from the hospital.

An official at China’s National Health Commission said on Friday that such patients have not been found to be infectious.

Experts say there are several ways discharged patients could fall ill with the virus again. Convalescing patients might not build up enough antibodies to develop immunity to SARS-CoV-2, and are being infected again. The virus also could be “biphasic”, meaning it lies dormant before creating new symptoms.

But some of the first cases of “reinfection” in China have been attributed to testing discrepancies.
