Does anyone remember travel pre-cell pre-internet,?

Guessing maybe 1998? Met my husband's family for the first time. We all traveled to Tahoe from 6 different locations and rented condos.

How in the world did we find the condos in the first place? How in the world did we all get there at the same time? Reno airport? How did we find the rental car? How did we find a packy to get blackberry brandy for a ride up the mountain to Tahoe because it's what you do outside with snow - especially with the biggest snowflakes I've ever seen in my life? How did we find a great grocery with the most beautiful California vegetables and fruit I had ever seen?

Have zero recall of hassles and hours on end waiting for people at the airport. Was it a time where we all just chilled and basic services were never that bad that we would remember 20-something years later?

Is there a standard treatment protocol for vaccinated COVID-19 positive?

A vaccinated friend tested positive

Doctor in Montana gave him a steroid shot and Z-Pak. I didn't know what a z-pack was, after looking it up, read docs advised that it did no good against covid.

He is still coughing. Infected approximately third week in July. Doc said he was in the final stage.

On edit:. Don't know if it's Delta or not

Think McClennan County TX COVID-19 reports incorrect

Would love some fresh eyes on this before I make a big stink about it

Website, click on menu, then
Health District Report

https://covidwaco.com/

They only report new cases each week and only show the previous two weeks.

Then their trend graph shows total new cases per month. July 2021..just over 100?

Man they don't dumb things down on CNBC! Anyone hear Dr Gottlieb

this a.m. on Covid? Dr Scott Gottlieb, former head of FDA.

He rattled off numbers so quickly I had to play it back three times and still don't know if I got them right.

He is quite optimistic. In fact he said the trajectory of the "rate of transfer" in some Southern States is going down (you want it under 1) and he expects a slowing with only a couple weeks to go. Expansion, however, in other states including the North.

I think I have these numbers right. Anyone else see him and can correct this? He said there are 90 million adults unvaccinated of which 40 million have already had it. That leaves 50 million adults who need to be vaccinated. Of that 50 million 15 million are already infected. And another 15 million will become infected. Leaving only 20 million wild cards.

Higher COVID Rate Found In Some Counties With Higher Vaccination Rate

Wow this is fascinating to me. In California, infection rates are higher where vaccination rates are higher. They are thinking now that people who are vaccinated may be infected and not know it and are infecting more people. Plus the more populous you are the more danger you have, duh

Pfizer only 39% effective against Delta, per Israeli study
