Raine1967's JournalHosting question:
Would you be open to a waiting period after a host has reached their 90 days of service or retires voluntarily?
Currently, as I am seeing, it is possible for a host to retire early and sign up to Re-Host as soon as another opening becomes available. Maybe a waiting period of a week or two (or even a month if we can make sure there are going to be enough hosts to do the job) might help to have more people be more involved?
90 days is the term, it seems that retiring early in order to skirt the 90 day term is a bit of a loophole.

Hillary Clinton Comes Out Against TPP
Source: Huffington Post
WASHINGTON -- Hillary Clinton came out against the Trans-Pacific Partnership Wednesday, breaking with President Barack Obama on the 12-nation trade deal that is set to become a key part of his legacy.
"As of today, I am not in favor of what I have learned about it," Clinton told Judy Woodruff of PBS "Newshour."
"I have said from the very beginning that we had to have a trade agreement that would create good American jobs, raise wages and advance our national security. And I still believe that's the high bar we have to meet," she said. "I have been trying to learn as much as I can about the agreement. But I'm worried. I'm worried about currency manipulation not being part of the agreement. We've lost American jobs to the manipulations that countries, particularly in Asia, have engaged in. I'm worried the pharmaceutical companies may have gotten more benefits -- and patients and consumers fewer. I think there are still a lot of unanswered questions.
Progressives have been pushing Clinton for months to take a position on TPP, since Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley (D), two of her rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination, came out against it long ago.

Looking for guidance.
In this thread, I voted for a lock and redirect http://www.democraticunderground.com/1243137827 As VP Biden is considered by many to be a potential candidate.
Where is the line regarding GD and GDP? I am really trying to follow the SoP for both groups and am having a difficult time. Thanks for any response. I am aware that you will not weigh in on host decisions however, I am trying to find the fine line here going forward.

DNC To Vote On Resolution Supporting #BlackLivesMatter
http://www.buzzfeed.com/darrensands/dnc-to-vote-on-resolution-supporting-black-lives-matter?utm_term=.rudQaokWJ#.ljvZkdlRJThe resolution, the language of which was made available to BuzzFeed News, will be voted on by the full body during the general session on Friday at the DNCs summer meetings in Minneapolis.
The draft of the resolution mentions by name Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi, and Alicia Garza, the founders of the Black Lives Matter organization. They are from a generation of young African-Americans who feel totally dismissed and unheard as they are crushed between unlawful street violence and unjust police violence, the draft reads.
The DNC said it resolves that the DNC joins with Americans across the country in affirming Black lives matter and the say her name efforts to make visible the pain of our fellow and sister Americans as they condemn extrajudicial killings of unarmed African-American men, women, and children.
The text of the resolution is at the link.
