Botany's JournalTHE JUSTICE DEPARTMENTS TOP INVESTIGATORS ARE CIRCLING JARED KUSHNER
Source: Vanity Fair
It has been six months since news broke that investigators were looking into Jared Kushners meetings with foreign officials as part of their broad probe into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election. Since then, congressional committees have sifted through documents and called witnesses, including Kushner, to testify for hours on Capitol Hill. Last month, special counsel Robert Mueller handed down his first indictments, and he has begun interviewing a handful of key White House aides, turning up the heat on President Donald Trumps inner circle.
Kushner has vociferously denied any collusion, despite his multiple meetings with Russian officialsformalities and part of the job, he claimsthat went unreported on his security clearance form due to an alleged clerical error. But according to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Mueller and his team remain deeply interested in many of Kushners dealings. Specifically, investigators have been asking witnesses questions about Kushners involvement in a series of controversial events that transpired over the past year and a half, including Kushners role in firing former F.B.I. director James Comey, a decision that many believe was a fatal mistake, and which led to Muellers appointment. (Sources familiar with the situation confirm that Kushner supported his father-in-laws choice.)

The insight into Muellers sustained interest in Kushner comes just days after congressional investigators expressed their frustration that Kushner may not have been completely forthcoming and truthful with two committees this summer in both his testimony and his document production. Last week, Senate Judiciary Committee leaders sent Kushners attorney, Abbe Lowell, a letter explaining that they are still missing documents they requested last month, adding that there are several documents known to exist that Lowell did not turn over in his initial production, including e-mails sent to Kushner last year about WikiLeaks, which Kushner then forwarded to another campaign official.
Despite evidence that he received and forwarded the e-mails in question, Kushner told congressional committees in July that he was unaware of any contact with the campaign and WikiLeaks. In response, Lowell said in a statement that a communication in which he was a copied recipient and was not about Russia contacts by him (or apparently by anyone else) was not responsive to any request about Mr. Kushners own contacts. On Monday, Lowell told CNN, If you look at the content of these e-mails, hes the hero . . . Hes the one whos saying there shouldnt be any contact with foreign officials or foreign entities.

U.S. Hires Company With K.G.B. Link to Guard Moscow Embassy
MOSCOW When President Vladimir V. Putin in July ordered American diplomatic missions in Russia to slash their staff by 755 employees, the State Department said it would need time to assess the impact of such a limitation and how we will respond to it.
Part of that response has now become clear: To make up for the loss of security guards axed in the Russian-mandated staff cuts, Washington has hired a private Russian company that grew out of a security business co-founded by Mr. Putins former K.G.B. boss, an 82-year-old veteran spy who spent 25 years planting agents in Western security services and hunting down their operatives.
Under a $2.8 million no-bid contract awarded by the Office of Acquisitions in Washington, security guards at the American Embassy in Moscow and at consulates in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok will be provided by Elite Security Holdings, a company closely linked to the former top K.G.B. figure, Viktor G. Budanov, a retired general who rose through the ranks to become head of Soviet counterintelligence.
A State Department official in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity in accordance with the departments rules, said that Elite Security and individuals associated with it had been vetted with relevant national and local agencies and would not increase the threat risk.

CNN Papadopoulos' Professor has now gone missing.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/08/politics/joseph-mifsud-trump-russia-investigation/index.htmlAcademic at heart of Clinton 'dirt' claim vanishes, leaving trail of questions
(CNN)Joseph Mifsud, the Maltese academic suspected of being a link between the Trump campaign and Russian officials, was once a regular on the foreign policy circuit, attending conferences the world over.
Now, after being identified as a key figure in the US special counsel investigation into Russian influence over the 2016 US presidential election, Mifsud has gone to ground.
Last Thursday he disappeared from the private university in Rome where he teaches. Repeated attempts to reach him since have been unsuccessful, though he appears to have read some messages from CNN.
But more details are emerging of the background and contacts of the man who emerged last week as "the professor" in court filings relating to charges brought against former Trump aide George Papadopoulos.

Why Roy Moore's goose is cooked almost surely cooked.
Ms. Corfman who went on record that Roy Moore sexually assaulted her as
a 14 year old girl last week said something like Roy took her to a cabin in the
woods where he sexually assaulted her so to me it comes down to one simple
question; Did Roy Moore and or his family ever own such a cabin in the woods
at the time the assault was said to have taken place?
