Rhode Island bill would require candidates to release their tax returns

If this bill passed, candidates for President and Vice President would need to release their tax returns or they would not be allowed on the ballot.

DNC Rule Change: Want Dem nomination for President? Must be a Democrat and run and serve as a Dem

http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/391459-dnc-panel-adopts-rule-requiring-candidates-to-run-serve-as-a-democrat

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) adopted a new rule on Friday aimed at keeping outsider candidates like Bernie Sanders from trying to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020.

The new rule, adopted by the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee, requires all Democratic presidential candidates to be a member of the Democratic Party, Yahoo News reported.

A presidential candidate running for the Democratic nomination must be a member of the party, accept the Democratic nomination and “run and serve” as a member.

Good.

You want access to the Party's resources? You want to take advantage of all that the Party has to offer?

Be a Democrat. Simple.

I'm totally done with this "Democrats bad! Democrats bad! Oh I want to be President so give me access to your party's resources and support me for President". No, sorry, it doesn't work that way.

Freed from DUs TOS JackAssRadicals tell us what's they really think of Obama

https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/the-stupefying-mediocrity-of-barack-obama/

Here is a hint for those who don’t want to click on the link, the title is “The Stupifying Mediocrity of Barack Obama”.

This is what we were arguing with when they were here. If you defend them, this is what you are defending. If you identify with them, well, you can figure out the rest.

Well this appearance by Condoleezza Rice didn't age well

Well this appearance by Rice didn’t age well. Only a year later, H R. McMaster is now gone. When asked whether he was having trouble with Trump, Rice responded “not that I can see”. Uh huh, right. Rice paid McMaster all these accolades and Trump fired him in a very humiliating way. As was Rex Tillerson fires by Trump. So just about all the folks Rice mentioned to try to make us feel better about incompetent Trump are now gone.

Rice said all these negative things about North Korea’s leader and now Trump is saying we should negotiate with him. Nope, this video and Rice’s words haven’t aged well at all.

I wonder how Rice feels about what she said now. How would she spin it away to defend Trump.

Person A wants to have praise directed at historical figure because of being at Pearl Harbor, I see in the person’s wiki page they have a viciously racist quote attributed to them and I point it out.

Person A says that’s not “Germaine” to the discussion.

Politico: "Bernie's army in disarray" Our Revolution flailing, poor fundraising, candidates losing

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/05/21/bernie-sanders-democrats-2018-599331

The Sanders-inspired grass-roots group ‘Our Revolution’ is flailing, an extensive review by POLITICO shows, fueling cocerns about a potential 2020 bid.

Bernie Sanders’ top operatives formed “Our Revolution” after he lost the 2016 primaries to keep his army organized and motivated — and potentially prepare for another presidential run in 2020.

But an extensive review of the Sanders-inspired group depicts an organization in disarray — operating primarily as a promotional vehicle for its leader and sometimes even snubbing candidates aligned with Sanders. Our Revolution has shown no ability to tip a major Democratic election in its favor — despite possessing Sanders’ email list, the envy of the Democratic Party — and can claim no major wins in 2018 as its own.

The result has left many Sanders supporters disillusioned, feeling that the group that was supposed to harness the senator's grass-roots movement is failing in its mission. The problems have also fueled doubts about Sanders’ organizational ability heading into 2020, even after his out-of-nowhere near-march to the nomination two years ago. Critics of the Vermont independent had been worried he’d have a juggernaut-in-waiting to fuel a second presidential campaign, but that anxiety has faded after watching Our Revolution the past year and a half.

This is what a Sanders Presidency would have looked like, to use some descriptors from the article: disarray, disillusioned, failing, flailing, problems, etc.
