applegrove's JournalMaybe scientists can measure decrease in CO2 emissions in the atmosphere
during this covid-19 crisis with industry shutdowns and car deserts. They will then have undeniable proof the climate change is real. I see big oil solving the covid-19 issue in a month after they learn this knowledge.
He actually used the term 'gag and pass' the House bill in reference
to what he told Republican Senators to do. This was all planned out when Moscow Mitch refused to be involved in the initial negotiations when the House bill was drafted. Democrats assumed republicans would only accept an austere bill. They were wrong. Mitch is going to be Santi Claus. He is already saying the House bill is inadequate.
Moscow Mitch presser: created 3 task forces among senate republicans
to decide what they and the WH favoured doing in terms of financial aide. Meanwhile they will pass the House bill to prove bi partisanship. The Senate will not leave until a second bill, this one generated by the republican task forces and WH, and much greater, is passed. Mitch is all about bending the coronavirus curve now. And making sure credit is not given to democratic colleagues wherever and whenever they can. He said his colleagues should gag and pass the House bill. Lovely.
If the White House spends billions on aide packages for the cruise ship
industry and the tourist industry and all the private entities affected by coronavirus it must fund COVID-19 treatment for the uninsured. Both are out of the norm spending. Otherwise that is not picking winners and losers. That is playing God.
I think trump just doesn't care and is kept busy by the sociopaths around
him, the businessmen randians and his fawning family. He is a reflection of them. He had no idealogy of his own save for being elected. Steven Miller made sure to make trump's base afraid of foreigners in Trump's speech. Gaetz got his jollies putting on a gas mask because people would soon be contracting a virus, some of whom would die from it. And when he got called out for it, it was suddenly him alone in a car in a walmart parking lot. Yeah, right! It is all just fun and games and about their needs. Not the needs of the country. I) i'm sure some care a bit. 2) I'm sure some don't care as long as it does not affect them politically. 3) I'm sure some relish the tought of so many people worldwide being so sick. It is very hard to tell who is who. But the number 2) were winning out until tonight. If we don't find out the uninsured will be able to go to the hospitals if they need to, we will have our answer as to who won out in the end. And i bet if the # 3) win out, 6 years from then america will have medicare for all after a Biden term to bring the country together. Remember the Nazis hid the camps. Anyone who is dying at home due to lack of insurance will still have skype. The right wing cannot possibly put enough payed trolls online to sway the online public to the "death is fun to watch" side. Even the Nazis realised they would wear down their semi sadistic ss officers if they had to watch each death so they systemized murder in the death camps so it would be less 'personal'. The truly sadistic, who would troll sick uninsured people online, are rare. And rarer too in pandemic situation in the USA vis a vis the many sick uninsured. There simply are not enough of the #3) to make ignoring the uninsured a win. The public will feel outrage and revultion at their trolling and at the policy. Sure there are quite a few republican sadists and semi sadists in politics in washington, but not enough on the whole. Sorry if i sound like a detached anthropologist. Someone has to.
So now the Trump WH rolls out help for people with COVID-19. No longer
walking out of pressers refusing to answer a question about how vulnerable people will be helped when they are sick. Well now those vulnerable people with jobs will be helped financially. Those who make enough to pay taxes will be helped financially. Why are they starting to lead? Is it because now red states and actual republicans are potential victims? Is it because private labs have ramped up testing enough to dim the "public" health responce? Why?
Might be a quick way to change the make up of the electorate if people who can't afford it don't
get tested, or don't get healthcare or don't get advice if they are sick, so it spreads within their poorer communities. I'm part anthropologist so that is why i sound so detached. This WH would do pretty much anything to get re-elected.Why else did Pence walk out of a presser ignoring a reporters question on the matter. Unless he is baiting us.
When Pence gave a presser about the cruise ship off of san francisco
with coronavirus patients on board he mention the word "industry" in every sentence and made the government offices responsible for health to look like also-rans. The WH obviously wants big business to look good here and not government.
Biden himself said people trust Bernie. It insults
and angers Bernie people. It would feel like gaslighting to Bernie people.
Here is Biden at the town hall.
"SNIP.....
CHARLESTON Joseph R. Biden Jr. came out swinging at one of his chief rivals, Bernie Sanders, at a televised town hall event on Wednesday, swiping at him over everything from his record on guns to the damage that he suggested Mr. Sanders would do to Democrats running in down-ballot races.
Mr. Sanders identifies as a democratic socialist, and Mr. Biden was asked on the CNN program if he would support a socialist at the top of the ticket.
We have moved in a direction that in fact, the progressive now progressive means Bernie, said Mr. Biden, who is a relative centrist but added that throughout his career he had been considered a liberal liberal.
It means democratic socialism or whatever the phrase is, Mr. Biden said. I think Bernie is a decent, honorable man who means what he says.
......SNIP"

I think Biden is trying to reach out to Bernie voters and that is important. It is Biden's 'healing' message.
