They said a vaccine would reduce transmission and technically

transmission still occurred. That is what De Santis is gunning for. FFS then bring in a mask mandate or highly influence people to mask up. That helps stop transmission if you, De Santis, really cared one bit. He won't do it though. He cares only for the politics. Not people's lives.

"SNIP.......

Back in 1981, when Ronald Reagan was sworn in and implicitly promised to destroy our government because it was “the problem,” many of us who strongly opposed him wondered what the final stage of Reaganism would look like.

Now we know. We’re there.

Violence toward women and minorities has exploded. Armed militias tried to assassinate the Vice President and Speaker of the House in an attempted coup directed by the Republican President of the United States. They tried to kidnap and murder the Democratic governor of Michigan. They’re blowing up power substations from Oregon to the Carolinas. They’ve embedded themselves in DHS, police departments, and our military. They’re coordinating with fascists overseas.

Leading up to this moment was a 41-year political war that splattered the American Dream like gut-shot blood across a dystopian Republican hellscape mural.

Reaganism brought us:
— the collapse of the middle class;
— student and medical debt that’s impossible to climb out of;
— an explosion of predation from health insurance companies and for-profit hospitals;
— political manipulation by corporations and billionaires;
— an explosion of homelessness and untreated mental illness;
— and turned our elementary schools into killing fields.

I think is is trawling for MAGA fish to steal them away from their creator Trump.

Then he will direct them to De Santis. It is I guess the only thing the GOP can do because Trump is never gonna give them up while he is alive. Plus Twitter was one place that MAGA people and Republicans and Independents were not in a Maga silo bubble. That town square has to be destroyed if you are Republican afterall how can the GOP win against reasonable liberals, who are pro democracy, otherwise?

"SNIP.......

Joshua Green: “For years, Donald Trump has survived scandal, scorn and defeat and still managed to keep his warlord grip on the Republican Party. Even this month’s epic string of disasters, from his candidates’ losses in the midterms and his dinner with white supremacist Nick Fuentes and professed Hitler-fan Ye (Kanye West) to the tax fraud convictions of two of his companies, might not derail him.”

“But irrelevance might. In the critical weeks since his Nov. 16 campaign launch, the person who has dominated the right-wing attention economy isn’t Trump. It’s Elon Musk.”

“Musk didn’t just take over Trump’s favorite medium, Twitter. He seems to have done so for the explicit Trumpian purposes of striking back at his critics, ‘owning the libs,’ and stoking the sort of generalized chaos that was once Trump’s calling card, before he was banished from Twitter and took up exile in the empty wilderness of Truth Social. He’s succeeded on all fronts.”

Applegrove:

Maybe Musk not only wants to turn Twitter from a multi-party town square into a silo so MAGA base is kept in a right wing bubble, maybe Musk is industrial trawler with a net twenty miles long to capture all the MAGA fishes and haul them away from Trump. He has been outrageous in his tweets. Is he trying to out trump Trump, crack his back, and hand MAGA over to De Santis? Picture another year of outrageous Twitter meme by Musk.

All three are dyslexic (Bush, Palin, Trump). Dyslexics are visual

and can paint a picture, read a crowd, don't get bored repeating the same message over and over, are good in dynamic situations like campaigns and counterpunch using visuals like in a real fight rather than prepared language (Jeb was thought to be a threat but was not nearly as good as GWB counterpunching, no surprise Jeb is not a dyslexic and was a disappointment). We are big picture people. GOP has been farming dyslexics because they appeal well like Rubio. But the dumb ones have been winning. Smart dyslexics like Ronald Reagan (communication), JFK, Churchill, Eleanor Roosevelt (FR'S eyes and ears who traveled the country), Woodrow Wilson, Teddy Roosevelt, George Washington and Napoleon seem to be hard to find these days. Yet they are keeping Rubio from voting often so he could run as a centrist Presidential candidate some day. Maybe, maybe, after Trump and the chasm between who the rabid right wing base thinks is a good candidate and what the moderate Republicans, traditionals and Independents thinks is a good Republican candidate, maybe they will get over trying to find a dyslexic above all else.Because like any other group of people some are smarter than others and because they keep narratives separate the evil noise machine can get not so smart dyslexics to believe almost anything.
