A Florida woman was arrested Saturday after trying to pass herself off as her daughter who was two decades younger.

Jennifer Crosby, 43, allegedly told a deputy at a traffic stop in Indian River County that she was only 22 and “has a medical condition that makes her age faster.” According to an arrest report obtained by The Smoking Gun, Crosby was pulled over for inoperable tail lights, and when deputy Colby Smith asked for her license, she said she had forgotten it.

Crosby then allegedly gave Smith the wrong name and a 1992 birthdate. Smith wrote that when he appeared skeptical of the birthdate, Crosby made the outlandish claim about accelerated aging.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — A Kentucky woman’s mugshot has gone viral thanks to her shirt.

Deborah Delane Asher, 37, was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree and possession of methamphetamine.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department posted her mugshot on its Facebook page. In the photo, Asher is wearing a “I Heart Crystal Meth” shirt.

Perhaps the most important — and definitely the most expensive — election in California on Tuesday is the down-ballot battle for state school superintendent. The $30 million race has generated three times as much spending as the contest for governor, with money pouring in from across the country.

But the election is not a partisan fight between the two major parties. The combatants — incumbent Tom Torlakson and challenger Marshall Tuck — are both Democrats, and their fight embodies the major divide within the Democratic Party over the best way to educate children.

“These two candidates represent almost the perfect contrast between the two sides in the national debate over public schools,” said Dan Schnur, executive director of the Unruh Institute of Politics at the University of Southern California. “This debate has the potential to divide the Democratic Party just as significantly as immigration and abortion has divided the Republicans in the past.”

Torlakson is heavily backed by the teachers union; Tuck is receiving significant support from well-heeled donors who are behind the national charter-school movement and the effort to weaken teacher tenure.

His donors include the heirs of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton; Michael R. Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York; Eli Broad, the housing and insurance mogul; and Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs. Even some Hollywood stars made a video supporting Tuck.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — No bar, no party.

Danish police say members of a biker gang have called off a planned party after officers raided a new club house in western Denmark and took away the bar that had been stolen from a nearby workshop.

Anders Uhrskov of the police in Aarhus said Saturday officers found the piece of furniture when raiding a house in Lystrup, northeast of Denmark's second largest city, as part of "our preventive strategy" against organized crime groups so "they never doubt that we keep an eye on them."

Some residents in West Salem could have witnessed quite the scene Tuesday morning as Salem Police were hot on the trail of a naked man running through the neighborhood.

It started on Tuesday around 8:30 a.m, when a Salem Police officer learned that a man with a warrant for his arrest, 49-year-old James E. Bufford, was staying in a West Salem residence.

The warrant was issued after Bufford's failure to register as a sex offender following a prior rape conviction, said Lt. Dave Okada with Salem Police.

So the officer headed out to the home in the 1100 block of Alpine Drive NW to make contact with him.
