Think You Were Born Under A Bad Sign? Don't Live In China, Then.

If you are a recent college graduate in China and happen to be a “Virgo”, your chances of getting a job may be much less than your “Gemini” or “Pisces” competitors, according to the Liaoning-based Bandao Morning News.

Xu Jingmin, a college graduate and recent victim of such “zodiac discrimination", said she was disheartened after finding out she matched all the qualifications of a job opening at a travel agency except its requirement for the applicant’s zodiac sign.

“We are looking for Geminis, Libras, and Aquarius,” the ad allegedly said. This means Xu, who is a “Leo,” was disqualified.

Stereotypes are also held against "Virgo" and "Libra" job seekers, who employers believe would be “picky” and jump ship sooner than their peers from other Zodiac signs, according to the report.

Woman Sues DMV Claiming Her License Photo Is The Mark Of The Beast (video at link)

NORMAN, Okla. – By law we’re required to renew our driver’s license and in order to do so, we must comply with a few procedures like taking a picture or giving our fingerprint.

One woman has refused these things and filed a lawsuit because she said it violates her religious rights.

Think of Tom Cruise’s 2002 movie Minority Report, where Cruise’s character undergoes an eye replacement to avoid be detected by the city’s optical recognition system.

The local woman said she believes our government is using a similar facial recognition system.

She said it’s already being implemented with high-resolution pictures and measurements taken when you get your driver’s license picture and provide your fingerprint.

12 Year Old French Girl Racks Up 2.600 € (USD $3440) In Bad Checks To Buy Candy

A 12-year-old girl in the southern French city of Bordeaux has been caught by police after using stolen cheques to buy 2,600 euros ($3,440) worth of candies and pastries.

Local police said Thursday that the girl had stolen a chequebook in March from a neighbour and used it over several months to buy the sweets from local bakeries.

Her criminal sweet tooth was uncovered when a local bakery tried to deposit 23 of the cheques and they bounced. She was quickly apprehended, questioned by police and released after her parents agreed to pay the bakery back.

John McCain: "Dollar Coins Would Lead To Bigger Tips For Strippers"

Sen. John McCain has a wish for any exotic dancers who might feel the pinch from legislation he’s backing that would do away with the dollar bill and replace it with a dollar coin: Shake what your momma gave you and make more moolah.

The Arizona Republican joined Sens. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.) and Mark Udall (D-Colo.) in introducing the COINS Act last month. Advocates for the measure contend that saying sayonara to George Washingtons in favor of coins would save the government billions of dollars.

But a revealing 2011 ITK investigation found that at least one, er, esteemed gentleman’s club in Washington was opposed to similar legislation introduced at the time.

Daniel Harris, owner of Archibald’s Gentleman’s Club in downtown D.C. told us back then, “I think it would be very awkward for everyone involved. How much more would a coin weigh than a dollar bill? It would be very hard.”

The manager also astutely pointed out, “You can’t put a coin in a garter belt.”

Family Goes Broke After Spending More Than $100K On Beanie Babies

A film director has documented how his family went bankrupt after his father became obsessed with Beanie Babies.

Chris Robinson's father started collecting the cuddly toys in the belief they would make a great investment.

But the Los Angeles family realised there was a problem when, after spending $100,000 on the stuffed animals, there was still no return on the investment.

Mr Robinson has now filmed his family as they talk about the years spent collecting the Beanie Babies, in a bid to make enough money to send the three sons to college.

His film, Bankrupt by Beanies, shows how his father's obsession consumed the family's activities as they attempted to collect as many as they could.

French Woman Brutally Attacked By Roaming Cats

A band of wild cats pounced on a French woman this week and attacked her as she walked her pet dog. The traumatised woman was reportedly left with a gashed artery and bites to her arms and legs in what a vet said was an unprecedented assault.

Traditionally cats are meant to be solitary and docile creatures. But a band of feral French felines in the north-eastern French city of Belfort appears to have put that theory to bed.

The seemingly unprecedented attack happened around 7pm on Sunday at the edge of a wood in Belfort, in the north-eastern region Franche-Comté, situated between Lyon and Strasbourg, French news site l'Est Republicain reported.

The 31-year-old woman had apparently been out walking her pet poodle when she was set upon by half a dozen blood thirsty moggies.

So A Bear Wanders Into A Bar... No, Seriously!

ESTES PARK, Colo. (CBS4)- Bear sightings are becoming increasingly frequent this summer in mountain towns and along the front range. One bear actually walked into a bar in Estes Park recently and the patrons didn’t really seem to mind.

It’s believed the black bear started his evening dumpster diving.

“I guess nothing seemed palpable so he just kept going,” said Estes Park resident Daniel Lyell. “He didn’t think too long before he started walking into the bar.”

The bear wandered into Lonigan’s Bar located at 110 West Elkhorn Avenue in Estes Park with Lyell not far behind.

Plastinated Inside Out Horse Makes Times Square Debut

This horse lost by a hair -- almost all of its hair. And skin.

New Yorkers got a sneak peek Wednesday of "Rearing Horse With Rider," a plastinated steed created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens for his BODY WORLDS exhibit.

The 12-foot-tall behemoth of a horse, whose rider is also on display, is completely skinless and preserved by a process called plastination. Its bones, muscles and anatomical structures are intact and separated for a scientific -- and just plain awesome -- never-before-seen view of the animal. In Times Square, kids went crazy for the pony.

"It's intriguing," said 15-year-old Mohamed Gueye, said. "Most people fail to realize the underlying structure of an organism. It's very interesting."
