The one aspect of the Trump investigation that needs to be discussed more in the media:

Everyone. From top to bottom. One person does not a coup make. It takes thousands, hundreds of thousands of people. This was part of a systematic effort from right wing media, from the Kochs, the Mercers, the Christian right, the Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society, megachurches, the list goes on. There's not one person in that damn party that isn't compromised. From the people who are the higher ups in the party like Clarence Thomas and Sean Hannity, to elected officials like Tommy Tuberville, Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Greene, right down to the very people who voted for him.
January 6th happened because people were led astray by internet conspiracy theories, and the people who entered Congress that day would line up to jump off a cliff if Trump had told them to. January 6th also happened because of the talk radio and social media podcast sphere. These are a very bloodthirsty group that will morph everything into their twisted world view. People showed up to that event VOLUNTARILY. And now they're screaming like toddlers about being political prisoners. You're prisoners. Period.
Remember - there's people out there, average people who walk among us, that voted for him. Twice. And they'll happily vote for him a third time. No matter how many times he's wrong, no matter how many egregious crimes he's committed, they'll happily bend over and say "Thank you sir, may I have another?" like Kevin Bacon in Animal House. They also vote for Shithead Squadron to ruin Congress - the Paul Gosars, Marjorie Greenes, Lauren Boeberts, and Harriet Hagemans of the world.
These are people who allow this to happen. And no matter what we do, they'll just keep moving the goal posts or pulling the football like Charlie Brown. Like the thing today with Hunter Biden or Hillary's emails, or Benghazi, or any of the other numerous right wing scandals over the years. They made the whole thing up, they set the rules. Because Fox and the AM talk radio sphere call the shots for all of these guys. Sure, Trump trashes Fox one day, but he'll happily agree to an interview on Fox the next. Because that's his obvious vice. It's all part of the plan. They're violent, bloodthirsty and organized. If we don't stop them, the next coup (and there will be a next one) really will make January 6th look like a harmless tourist visit. It's all part of the right wing plan.
Chino Valley Unified school board delays discussion on gender reporting policy and bans pride flags
The banning of pride flags on school property comes under the umbrella of a district revision of ceremonies and observances, which allows the display only of the U.S. flag, state, county, and military flags.
Back In April, parents packed the Chino Valley Unified School District office to sound off on the board's support of a controversial gender reporting bill.
"It was heated but there were definitely more people who were in favor of parents' rights than those opposed," said Amy Féria, a mother of three. "I am sickened to think of any teacher, any school creating an agenda to keep us out of the loop."
However, after his controversial bill was squashed in the California State Legislature Republican Assemblyman Bill Essayli partnered with Chino Valley school board president Sonja Shaw with the hopes of enacting a similar notification policy.

Target worker says store's Pride section caused her to lose shifts
In the clip, TikToker Kaitlin Sondae (@kaitlinsondae) is filming herself in what appears to be Target's skin care aisle. She looks left to right and into the camera before breaking into a smile as she lip-syncs the "haha nice" audio she used to accompany the video.
"When you get scheduled 17 hrs cuz Target last 9 billion dollars for having a Pride section," she wrote in a text overlay.
Kaitlin is referring to the fact that Target is pulling some of its pride merchandise after facing backlash from conservatives and extremists who have also made threats against workers' safety.
"People need [to] calm down and just live their lives and not care about what others do," she said in the caption.

GOP bill seeks to remove no-fly zone designations for U.S. Disney Parks
The bill, formally known as the Airlines Independent of Restrictions Act or AIR Act, was reintroduced by U.S. Rep. Troy E. Nehls, a Republican from Texas, who first introduced the bill in 2022.
The bill would direct the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, to rescind the no-fly zone designations over the domestic Disney theme parks, which were given to the parks after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“Theme parks like Disney should not receive special treatment just because they are well-connected. Our national security should not be compromised to fit the needs of one corporation,” Nehls said in a statement.
KTLA reached out to the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World about the proposed bill but has not heard back.

Multiple Kohl's in Wisconsin evacuated 'out of an abundance of caution,' police said
Oak Creek police responded to a threat at Kohl’s on 9035 S Howell Ave. This store and other nearby businesses were evacuated for safety.
Police searched for explosives with K-9 units but did not find "physical evidence to substantiate there was a credible threat to public safety.”
News Chopper 12 flew over the store. Police presence, employees outside the store, and shopping carts blocking the entrance of the parking lot could be observed from the helicopter.

An ugly scene played out at the Temecula Valley School Board meeting as they voted 3-2 to reject an elementary school social studies book that contained information about pioneering California gay rights figure Harvey Milk. The board's president made a baseless accusation that Milk was a pedophile before voting to ban the book.
"My question is, why even mention a pedophile?" said Board President Dr. Joseph Komrosky.
Temecula's emotionally charged meeting resembles many others from here in Southern California and across the country as communities demand school boards to limit discussions of race and sexual orientation.
The battle over books has been an ongoing conflict in Republican-controlled states. California Gov. Gavin Newsom interjected himself into the fray last summer in a series of commercials that aired in Florida. Now, he's taking that message directly to educators in the state through a letter directed to superintendents and school administrators. The warning — which was also penned by California State Superintendent Tony Thurmond and Attorney General Rob Bonta — urged them to not take part in the removal of instructional materials.
"Access to books — including books that reflect the diverse experiences and perspectives of Californians, and especially those that may challenge us to grapple with uncomfortable truths — is a profound freedom we all must protect and cultivate," the letter read in part.
