Do we seriously need to have a conversation about American media being liars?

Or not covering important, historic events at all, such as the ongoing, massive no-nuke protests throughout Japan?

When someone posts a story from Press TV, RT News, Aljazeera, BBC, etc. you should be thankful you're getting a story at all. As a member of the Occupy movement I can tell you from personal experience that US media twist things, omit them to shift context, or simply ignore things completely, yet I've seen great work from local Press TV and RT News reporters/crews, who have repeatedly offered realistic depictions of events in which I've witnessed and participated.

Now I know that I'm not taking this heat specifically because I'm with Occupy.

BTW, the image is taken from last Sunday in Anaheim. He is holding an M32, which is currently in trail use with the Marines. The obvious message is "Do what we say or else". To peaceful people protesting murderous police...

Anaheim protest today against murderous police

This week Anaheim police executed a man while in handcuffs, killed another, and shot a third, all in the Latino community of Anaheim. They repeatedly shot seated families including mothers and children with pepper ball weapons and unleashed a police dog upon them. Some media went straight from the murder to "people are rioting", utterly ignoring that Anaheim citizens hold a weekly protest against police brutality, and that women and children were shot at and bitten. Police went around the neighborhood attempting to purchase all video. That night, APD and assisting police from outlying areas shot up and arrested several citizens and opened fire upon credited media. Yesterday Anaheim PD put up barricades around their headquarters. Today activists from around Southern and even Northern California converge to protest their racist organization and the monstrosity behind them, the Disney corporation. There are photos from yesterday of a massive police practice operation, and word of LA sheriffs mobilizing to assist.

When you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Time to turn hammers into plowshares.
