I am sitting in la Madeleine, a French bistro watching a young lady in a hijab speaking to her co-workers in Spanish. An additional co-worker comes in with some type of home made Salvadoran sweet bread that she is sharing and they all seem to enjoy.

There is a sense of community, all hard at work early in the morning, enjoying each other’s company. It is nice to see.
