Naomi Klein's 8th point of fascism

has now arrived here in the USA.

Back in the days of George W, Naomi Klein had her excellently detailed analysis "The Ten Points of Fascism" published and then almost immediately those points were printed and re-printed in newspapers and blogs across the globe.

Point Eight involved the control of the press by the uber forces of Corporate Take Over of all discussion.

So regarding last night's AP announcment of Clinton winning, I must mention upfront that I was not that surprised by the Associated Propaganda branch of news distribution, and whatever CIA directive they received to do this.

I have on several occasions put up for review my own analysis of the Associated Propaganda's lack of truthiness, although in 2008 when I made my initial critique, it was related to the Corporate Take Over of Science, and the media, and not the takeover of politics news by fascistic forces. (See *** at bottom for my Daily Kos article, from several years back.)

In any event, last night, a good fifteen hours before polling places in California and elsewhere opened for voters, The AP made the stunning announcement that the election was over, as Hillary Clinton had amassed the correct number of delegates.

According to Clinton Campaign spokesperson Michael Briggs, " "It is unfortunate that the media, in a rush to judgement, are ignoring the Democratic National Committee’s clear statement that it is wrong to count the votes of superdelegates before they actually vote at the convention this summer." "Secretary Clinton does not have and will not have the requisite number of pledged delegates to secure the nomination. She will be dependent on superdelegates who do not vote until July 25 and who can change their minds between now and then."

It should also be noted that most political wonks have already voted. Even in my household, for a long time a most sacred bastion of procrastination, one of us had already voted by noon on Monday.

Today, my polling place was empty of other voters when I arrived at eleven Am, and polling workers mentioned that 80 percent of my county's voters had already voted by mail.

So the AP is a bit out of luck in terms of the damage it wanted to afflict.

Perhaps more destructive to democracy as the AP announcement is the very existence of superdelegates. Or as Mr Glenn Greenwald stated: "The decisive edifice of super-delegates is itself anti-democratic and inherently corrupt: designed to prevent actual voters from making choices that the party establishment dislikes. But for a party run by insiders and funded by corporate interests, it’s only fitting that their nomination process ends with such an ignominious, awkward and undemocratic sputter."

Other decent discussion on this issue can be found in the CommonDreams article, as well in the comments section that follows:

WITNESS Reports on The Puerto Rico Primary situation.

If someone here can get this over to Cenk or anyone else at TYT, that would be great:

The Military/BigBanking/EducationMoneyLending Establishment is surprised!

The Establishment, which includes the Old Guard Party leaders, seems to be genuinely surprised and perplexed that people are rejecting their version of "democracy." Which shouldn't really surprise them,
at all.

For after all is said and done, their version of democracy is really "Only the rich get anything resembling democracy - the rest of you retards get what we tell you you'll get."

There is an entire article over at CommonDreams that details what is going on.

http://www.commondreams.org/views/2016/05/20/establishment-collectively-stunned-see-citizens-reject-rigged-democratic-primary

Several pargaphs from that article:
Yet, there are several examples of how the Democratic presidential primary is and has been rigged: hundreds of superdelegates pledged their allegiance to Clinton before votes were cast in Iowa, a limited number of debates were scheduled to ensure voters had the least amount of exposure to Clinton opponents, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Clinton campaign falsely accused the Sanders campaign of “stealing” voter file data, the Hillary Victory Fund has funneled millions of dollars through state parties to the DNC, and Democratic women supporting Sanders have faced forms of retaliation.

Senator Harry Reid called the president of the Culinary Workers Union in Nevada for the sole purpose of ensuring “tens of thousands of casino workers” would not have to work on the day of the caucuses. The union president did Clinton a favor, let workers off with pay, and workers from six major Las Vegas casinos showed up to help make certain Clinton did not lose.

The Democratic National Committee has stacked the deck against the Sanders campaign by only appointing three of the 45 people he recommended for the Democratic National Convention committees. Critically, former Representative Barney Frank—a Clinton surrogate, who has been vitriolic in his criticism of Sanders—will co-chair the important Rules Committee. The lack of inclusion of Sanders representatives on the committee virtually guarantees a repeat of much of the disorder witnessed in Nevada—not because Sanders supporters are disposed to troublemaking, but because the DNC openly intends to stifle their efforts to influence what unfolds at the convention.

Bernie Sanders is a Senator from Vermont. He has no power in Puerto Rico!

The Establishment Candidate, one Hillary Clinton, has deep ties through her promotion of the military/industrial complex to sway the media.

The lies being told from the Corporate-controlled media and from the DNC are exactly what we progressives can expect!

Due to an emergency, I need to be able to "read" floppies!!

Well, it is my computer that needs to be able to read them.

Long story short, someone who was visiting used my CD's that made a bak up of personal writings, rather than using the blank CD's they might have used if they had been in "thoughtful" mode.

Now I need to have some of my writing available in text format. By tomorrow at 4Pm.

The stuff is also on a Terra drive, but I don't know where my spouse and I hid said drive.

So then I remembered the writing I need is also on floppies.

The smaller, "newer" kind of floppies, not the big old four inch plus size. (If anything that old can be considered "new.&quot

My computer of course, thinks that the floppy is some sort of alien life form. It does have a floppy drive, but it keeps telling me the floppy I need should be formatted. I know for certain that it doesn't need to be formatted. It has a bunch of writing on it. (One Meg or what ever the standard floppy formatting allowed back in pre-historic days.)

Is there any hope?

All advice appreciated.
