Q: How many meetings has Lloyd Blankfein had with Obama since his re-election?

Jamie and Lloyd and the rest of Mt. Olympus held a meeting of America's Board of Directors the White House today. They had to make tough, grown-up decision, no doubt.

How many White House meetings with Obama does this make for Lloyd, just since last November?

a. One
b. Two
c. Three? Are you @#$%ing me?

Bonus question: how many times has Obama sought Paul Krugman's advice during this time? Or Howard Dean? Or Liz Warren? Or...

Hey! I'm going to the PawSox opener tonight!

Also Sunday.

If you haven't been to a PawSox game, I highly recommend checking one out. Almost as good as MLB, but first row seats are $12, plenty of parking, and cheap beer

(Since I'm a Bay Stater, I posted in the MA group but I figured I'd post here too)

Ok, I pulled my "fucking retarded" thread

It easily survived the inevitable alert (4-2), but I decided it was just too divisive.

Suffice it to say that I continue to be disgusted that the White House pasted that phrase on me and ours, just because we won't be Doormat Democrats.

Peace.

Just a cross post of this: Elizabeth Warren "Shocked" By Obama's Embrace Of Social Security cuts

So we have it in the EW group for posterity.

Peas for old folks: Three months of meals, disappeared each year. Hunger.

For an 80-year-old woman, the "chained CPI" will reduce her earned benefits by one week's food per month, for someone already living on the edge. Three months of meals gone each year.

All because the Predator Class wants more planes, yachts, houses, and other shit.

That's sick, the stuff of sociopathy.

So tell Obama and his two good friends (pictured frolicking in my sig) to go take a flying fuck at the Moon. We cannot let the elderly starve so Romney can buy more car elevators.

Earned Benefit Queens

Finally, a phrase that captures the thing.

It's time to stop these takers, once and for all.

Hat tip to Dragonfli for inventing the term.

Democrats: quit associating with the poor!

Make no mistake: Americans aren't dumb. They see who we associate with. It is unseemly to associate with the poor, the old, the sick, and others who choose to lead difficult, meaningless lives.

Let us stop whining about The Greatest President Ever working feverishly to slash society's lifelines to the needy, and instead let's turn to those who have the intelligence and decency to be rich. Bankers, of course, are at the top of the merit pyramid, but other wealthy people count too. When Americans see that we've moved away from inferior people and towards superior people, two things will happen:

1. Americans will vote Democratic. People love winners!
2. The riff-raff will see that their little games are over, and get jobs. Poverty has been far too luxurious for too long, the days of maggot-free food are over. And no more excuses that there aren't any jobs - nothing is stopping anybody from being an entrepreneur. Every poor person I know has two kidneys, they only need one: time to do the right thing and earn a few dollars.

And ten @$#&ing fingers? Seriously? Nine spares? For what?

It's time to make the difficult choices, people.

Regards,

Third-Way Manny

Elizabeth Warren, Joe Kennedy push immigration reform

BOSTON (AP) Immigrants living in Massachusetts and their supporters are gathering for a weekend rally in Boston to pile up pressure on the U.S. Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reforms that include a path to citizenship.

Organizers say hundreds of immigrants, community activists, representative of workers' groups and political leaders will rally at Faneuil Hall on Saturday. They will then march to the nearby federal building that houses the U.S. Immigration and Citizenship Services and the local immigration court.

The rally is one of the first events of the "Power Up for Citizenship" initiative being launched nationwide.

...

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, U.S. Reps. Michael Capuano and Joseph Kennedy III and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino are scheduled to join the Boston rally.

Elizabeth Warren group followup

Again, thanks for setting up the group.

We discussed setting up hosts, but I don't think that anyone's assigned yet. I believe that I was selected to lead, but if you want someone who's better looking or more responsible, that's fine too. But we should have someone, I think, in case the going gets weird.
