Much gnashing of teeth over the Inevitable One's storehouses full of cash. Since when is it a crime to be very wealthy? Hell, FDR was wealthy. George Washington was possibly the wealthiest man in America.

The problem isn't the Clinton's money, per se. Here's what is the problem:

First off, their money comes in huge torrents from the people Bill unchained so they could financially brutalize the 99%, and to whom Hillary is trying to gift the TPP and other outrageous stuff. It's blood money. Our blood, and the blood of our children.

Second, saying that an ex-President is broke might be technically correct, but it's truly wrong. Another "it depends on what the definition of is, is".

Finally, Hillary and Bill have a history of prevarication on topics great and small. People easily assume that Hillary's trying to mislead them again, at this point few will give her the benefit of the doubt.

It ain't the money: it's the bull@#$%.

Not just fuck, of course. Also the other stuff that would have gotten my mouth washed out with soap if I'd said them as a child.

I just had an ugly thought. Back in 2011 it was Eric Cantor who stopped the Grand Bargain deal to cut $200 billion from Social Security and raise the Medicare eligibility age by two years. He stopped it because it included a modest tax hike on the wealthy.

Now that Cantor's gone... hopefully Congressional Democrats are a little more Liberal today and can fend off another round of this garbage.

There is talk of Governor's Walker and Christie being prosecuted. I think that's pretty unlikely. Perhaps you've noticed that top-tier Republicans are (like bankers) a protected class in today's DOJ, and among law enforcement in general. They get the "look forward, not backward" treatment.

I hope I'm wrong.

1. Bring back the draft. Every man and woman for a couple of years, say starting at 18. No deferments. Don't send my kid into an insane war while your kid goes to Wall Street, #%^* you.
2. Politicians must recuse themselves from decisions, votes, or statements on military action unless they have a close family member in the military, in a role that's likely to see combat in a conflict
3. Politicians may not become lobbyists, nor may they earn more than $250,000 per year after leaving office. Ever.
4. Reinstate Glass-Steagall. Because it worked fine for more than half a century, until it was repealed. Then everything started to suck.
5. Unions, unions, unions. Make unions mandatory for all non-managerial positions, unless employees vote to not unionize. Or something like that. The 99% will never have power without unions.
6. Tariffs. It should be no cheaper to manufacture in corrupt, polluting microwage countries than to manufacture in the US.
7. Reinstate the tax structure of the 1950s. Compared to today, the wealthiest paid 3x, the middle class paid half. It worked great.
8. Socialized medicine, or at least single payer. An extra 8 cents of every dollar we spend on anything in the US goes to the excessive costs of our failed medical system. It's sick.
9. Bring back the old personal bankruptcy law that Joe Biden and his buddies #%^*ed with to make some more shekels for their banker patrons.
10. Make food, housing, and medical care basic rights guaranteed by our government.
11. End dependence on fossil fuels in a decade. We can do it.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. They're probably not quite right, but not so far off.

I'm sick, utterly sick, of the total corruption, dysfunction and bull#%^* in our country. We used to be a great country. Now, between the bankers, the Third Way and rightwing loons, we've turned into a steaming load of manure, and it has to stop.

Enough.

I'm thinking of lending a hand - Massachusetts deserves an FDR Liberal at the helm.

Yes, Hillary did some things that certain Democrats are upset about.

But all political candidates have pluses and minuses. How about we discuss Hillary's positives for once? She's been in the public spotlight for decades. What has she accomplished? What tough political battles has she won for the 99%? What leading-edge ideas has she championed before their time?

Surely, there is a compelling track record of leadership and achievement.

I think that all of the Purity Left should reflect on the important lesson of the last few days. A few months back, Elizabeth Warren cherry-picked a portion of the bible, Matthew 25:40, as only one of the important reasons she went into politics:

“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Not bad for a rank amateur, but yesterday Hillary Clinton took Warren to school by embracing the entire Bible as the most influential book in her life.

Boom! There it is! Game over!

It's time for the Moonbat Firebaggers to cut the crap, and face the facts: Hillary is everything that Elizabeth Warren wants to be, but can't because Hillary is smarter, tougher, and more virtuous. I mean, if Warren's so great, why don't the big banks pay her $200k a pop for obsequious speeches? One reason, and one reason only: Wall Street only wants the best, and that's Hillary, not some difficult woman from godless Massachusetts.

While Warren only started the Consumer Financial Protection Board, Hillary has started lots and lots of great things that I forget at this moment, but trust me, she has.

While Warren's sponsored misguided legislation to ease the 99%'s pain by bringing back Glass-Steagall and reducing the cost of repaying school loans while raising taxes on the wealthy, Hillary sponsored tons of great legislation that I forget at this moment, but trust me, she has.

While Warren's fighting against the Trans Pacific Partnership which will create millions of great jobs for Americans, Hillary helped author the blessed thing.

While Warren only came from way behind to defeat the most popular politician in Massachusetts by seven points, Hillary has won tons of tough political battles that I forget at this moment, but trust me, she has.

I'll bet if you asked Warren for her greatest regret in life, she'd say that it's being unable to vote for a war that killed hundreds of thousands or millions of people without even reading the 90-page National Intelligence Estimate on whether there were any good reasons to start a war. How freakin' cool is that? Voting for war based purely on her gut feeling. Now that's faith, the kind of faith that Sen. Warren needs more of.
