I grew up in the 1960s. My heroes were the great liberals of that era like RFK, Humphrey, Eugene McCarthy, and even LBJ for his social programs. I cast my first vote for George McGovern in 1972.
The reagan "revolution" was and still is beyond my comprehension. While today's democrats are much further to the right than I would prefer, I would never, ever vote for a republican. They are just sick and twisted, IMO.
Question about "star" status.
Please refresh my memory.... Did I read in the last pledge drive at DU2 that we could retain our star status with any donation before the end of the year?
I just checked out the subscription rates and would prefer to give a smaller donation at this time.

I would rather just see the short-form list of replies and click on the expanded post if I find it interesting.
Showing every post makes some threads really long -- requiring lots of scrolling!
There is probably already a way to change it... please forgive me if I haven't found it yet. Thanks!
