For Pete:
"Where is the justice of God . . .
When I work hard, do all the things I'm supposed to do, and still cannot support my family?" -- John Dominic Cross an, speaking as a first-century Jewish peasant living under Roman imperialism. It's a favorite topic of his. Does it sound familiar?
My cat just scared the everloving crap out of me!
I was changing the sheets, and had lifted up the mattress to pull the fitted sheet straight. It's a queen size tempurpedic, so it's heavy. It's an awkward chore to do, too, with my short arms (they go with the rest of me). My cat Brigid jumped onto the box spring, so that the mattress was right above her. Thank God I saw her there, or I could have dropped the mattress right on her. I had to holler at her for a few seconds and hold up the mattress before she would jump down to the floor. I could have killed her!
What is up with Rachel tonight?
Both Tweety and Chris Hayes spent quite a bit of time on the Mike Huckabee flap, and Lawrence O'Donnell is planning to. But not one word from Rachel.
Don't these idiot GOP gasbags have any women in their lives?
Women who can knock them upside the head when they say something stupid? Wives, sisters, daughters, mothers -- anybody?
Wow, Joan Walsh just ripped Michael Steele a new one on Tweety's show!
It was about a Mike Huckabee remark that he apparently made somewhere about "women's libidos." I thought Tweety was going to have to break them up! I think Tweety did too! "Women's libidos?" Really, Huckles?
I'm watching an old "Law and Order."
It's a crossover episode with "Homicide: Life on the Street," so Richard Belzer is in it as Detective Munch. You know how paranoid he is -- he and Briscoe are in DC, and Munch decides to take the opportunity to request his FBI file under the FOIA. He is sure it's huge. He gets all insulted when he finds it's only one page!
"Don't have your dad get punched over a can of soup . . ."
"Get rid of cable."
These one-thing-leads-to-another DirectTV ads just crack me up!
You'll never guess who this is!
