New state voter fraud units finding few cases from midterms

By GARY FIELDS, ANTHONY IZAGUIRRE and SUDHIN THANAWALA/Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) ó State-level law enforcement units created after the 2020 presidential election to investigate voter fraud are looking into scattered complaints more than two weeks after the midterms but have provided no indication of systemic problems.

Thatís just what election experts had expected and led critics to suggest that the new units were more about politics than rooting out widespread abuses. Most election-related fraud cases already are investigated and prosecuted at the local level.

Florida, Georgia and Virginia created special state-level units after the 2020 election, all pushed by Republican governors, attorneys general or legislatures.

ďI am not aware of any significant detection of fraud on Election Day, but thatís not surprising,Ē said Paul Smith, senior vice president of the Campaign Legal Center. ďThe whole concept of voter impersonation fraud is such a horribly exaggerated problem. It doesnít change the outcome of the election, itís a felony, you risk getting put in jail and you have a high possibility of getting caught. Itís a rare phenomena.Ē

Surprise, surprise, surprise.

Marjorie Trailer Trash Gangrene may have opened her mouth a little too much

In a Newsweek article defending the Orange Whale for defending Jan. 6 defendants and saying he'd pardon them ...

Greene also took aim at unnamed critics "criticizing Pres Trump saying he should have done more with the power of the Presidency."

"Do you people want a tyrant? Do you really? Because once that door is opened, it doesn't shut," she wrote in her final tweet.

"Be careful the critics you listen to and be careful who you follow because you might find out the words they whisper that tickle your ears lead you down the path of destruction," the congresswoman concluded.

Little does she know (very little since it's Trailer Park Margie) how true those words are, especially when it comes to the Orange Whale.

Trump rips the Supreme Court as 'nothing more than a political body' after they ruled against him

Trump rips the Supreme Court as 'nothing more than a political body' after they ruled against him, even though he appointed 3 justices of the conservative majority

Business Insider/Kelsey Vlamis

Former President Donald Trump criticized the Supreme Court in a series of Truth Social posts after the high court on Tuesday rejected his request to block Congress from obtaining his tax records.

"Why would anybody be surprised that the Supreme Court has ruled against me, they always do! It is unprecedented to be handing over Tax Returns, & it creates a terrible precedent for future Presidents," Trump said in a post early Wednesday morning. "The Supreme Court has lost its honor, prestige, and standing, & has become nothing more than a political body, with our Country paying the price."

In follow-up posts, Trump rehashed complaints over the court's handling of the 2020 election and referenced reports of leaked opinions. In addition to the leak of the decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, a former anti-abortion leader recently alleged that the 2014 Hobby Lobby decision involving contraception was also leaked.

He also accused the court of being "petrified" of Democrats and trying to be "politically correct" instead of "doing what is BEST for the USA."
