AnotherDreamWeaver's JournalHow many Cars in Russia have a Camera? 13 min video of bad driving...

How did they collect so many clips?
(A search of driving in Russia didn't show any posts earlier...)
Went to the fire dept. meeting tonight and someone brought a clipping from the paper,
I found out the neighborhood has been upgrading:

A wine tasting room went in on Myers Grade last summer.

Three Activists against the banks, from the Thrive movement
I see that the video they put out over a year ago had some threads, but I didn't see this new article: http://www.thrivemovement.com/bold-actiivists-reveal-strategies-for-fighting-home-foreclosures-and-balancing-government-budget.blog
(I can't say I support the third guy, but I'm not in that position either.) I feel inspired by the actions of the first two.
Yes on California Prop 37
Listening to 'Your Own Health and Fitness' on KPFA.org today I learned of this movie "Genetic Roulette." See: http://responsibletechnology.org/
"Are you and your family on the wrong side of a bet?
When the US government ignored repeated warnings by its own scientists and allowed untested genetically modified (GM) crops into our environment and food supply, it was a gamble of unprecedented proportions. The health of all living things and all future generations were put at risk by an infant technology.
After two decades, physicians and scientists have uncovered a grave trend. The same serious health problems found in lab animals, livestock, and pets that have been fed GM foods are now on the rise in the US population. And when people and animals stop eating genetically modified organisms (GMOs), their health improves."
They are genetically engineering the American Chestnut...
The American Chestnut Foundation has been working for years to breed blight resistance into the American Chestnut by crossing and back crossing Asian breeds. (Japanese, Chinese and Korean varieties.) This article isn't the best (96 and 6 are not 100) and disturbs me about GM work.

Was there a magic jump into DU-4 this morning?
I'm still logged in from yesterday, but the "Greatest Threads" page no longer is a colum on the right of most recommended and one on the left of just getting 5 recommendations. There are only the most recommended in the last 24 hours.
Thanks,

On the fall of capitalism, from counter-punch
http://www.counterpunch.org/2012/09/20/the-waning-of-the-modern-ages/And the last paragraph:
"In a word, its number is up, and it is our fortune or misfortune, as I said before, to be living during a time of very large, and very difficult, transition. An old way of life dies, a new one eventually comes into being. Of this, the poet Mark Strand remarks: No need to rush; the end of the world is only the end of the world as you know it. For some odd reason, I find that thought rather comforting."
Morris Bermans latest book is Why America Failed.
I wish Elizabeth Warren spoke about Pollution of Nuclear Power
Just speaking about his support of Oil Subsidies wasn't as hard a hit as she could have had.
jokideo.com is a site with a picture I want to post here
From facebook, but it doesn't show when I 'preview it? How do folks do it?
