The officers say they found nearly six grams of meth, security cameras hidden in various rooms, plus 15 pets and urine/feces all over the home.
ABC-7 has been told video from the security system shows one of the pets, a pit bull, showed more interest in Edmond's 11-month-old baby than he or Edmond's mother did.
LCPD detectives who watched the recordings say in a three-day period, the baby was only taken out of the crib 30 minutes to one hour a day.
The boy's only source of consistent contact was the pit bull, who would lick the child's face, keep him company and play with his toys.
The child's grandmother, 57-year-old Margaret Edmond, is also charged with child abuse.
Police say a recording shows her slapping and jabbing the boy and even knocking him against the crib bars.
LCPD is also reporting Edmond did not let his girlfriend and baby bathe in more than a month, adding the boy was only given 4 baths in his entire life.

Chris Christie falls out of chair in newly released footage
Chris Christie was down and out during a radio interview in Philly.
Never before seen footage shows the New Jersey Governor falling out of a chair last June during a visit to the WIP Morning Show.
In a video clip of the fall, the Governor tries to take a seat in a roller chair at the station, opposite radio show host Angelo Cataldi.
But in an ill timed move, the chair rolls back just as the Republican tries to settle in.
Christie is seen falling back on the floor and an aide rushes over to embarrassed politician to resolve the “chair issue.”

I was so poor once that I would go to Long John Silvers and order a water and crunchies (which used to be free) then sit there and watch the people that would dine in.
It was amazing how little they ate. And then they would leave without dumping their tray off in the trash.
Fries, hushpuppies, chicken, fish... all untouched. No I didn't eat a piece that was bitten off of.
I once saw a woman order a 2 piece fish and more for her kid, that ate 1 hushpuppy and a few fries, and then left the rest of it there. It was the best I had eaten in weeks.
Glad that's behind me now.
I got a pay day loan once... I had super shitty credit at this point, was desperate for money so I could pay rent and buy food. Somehow I got approved for a loan for $4,200, which I took, stupidly, that would have cost me almost $8,000 to pay off if I paid the minimum. I didn't have a choice since I needed to make rent, buy new tires for my car, registration and smog for my car, and pay back somebody I owed $1,000 to.. It was a bad time. Luckily I was able to get somebody in the family to help me with a co-sign for a debt consolidation loan for me at a very nice low interest rate. Otherwise to this day I would still be living with and paying through the nose for a very bad mistake, but it's hard to use the word "mistake" when talking about something I didn't really have a choice on.
The point is, NEVER get a pay day loan. Find another way if you can.
Hauling food out of the dumpster at 7-11, because they threw away piles of chip bags that were a day over their expiration. (Manager caught us one day, they apparently told the employees to stab a hole in each chip bag after that. NBD, we just had to sniff each bag to make sure nothing was contaminated). Checking neighbors' trash bins - rescuing half a damn pizza some idiots had ordered the night before, then threw away after a handful of slices. Hauling in furniture from alleyways - my littlest sibling, my sister, received a twin bed mattress that had a grotesque brown stain on it, looked like someone had shit a gallon of wet feces onto it. No fucks given, we scrubbed that fucker with bleach over and over, and she slept on it for years.
And then there were times when the welfare checks or food stamps didn't arrive, and the trash bins were not producing food. I grew up in a fairly rural area. When that happened?
I know that in winter, Grey Squirrel tastes fucking gross. Sure, people from the South can claim that their brown and red squirrels are delicious, but I would rather eat shit out of a pig's ass than eat another bite of goddamn squirrel meat. Or jackrabbit. Or goddamned dandelion greens.
I guess I'm just saying that it's not what "insanely poor" people BUY, since they're insanely poor - they can't fucking afford to buy ANYTHING. You can keep the electricity and rent paid, or you can.... nope, there is not other choice. Food? Medicine? Clothing? Furnishings? Blankets? All of this is shit you can pull out of the garbage.

Speaking to the station KUTV, the high schooler said she was left feeling 'embarrassed' and ‘insulted’ when a school official approached her in the middle of the party and asked her to put on a shawl or a coat.
'I didn't want to make a big scene so I said, ‘yes.’ I had a coat in the car so I had to go back and get it,' said Gabi.
The young woman said she came away feeling angry and humiliated after being forced to wear a coat over her conservative dress for the entire duration of the party.
'Somehow my shoulders are sexualized,' Finlayson said. 'Like it's my responsibility to make sure the boys’ thoughts are not unclean.'

New York Deputy Turns Off Dash Cam After Pulling Over Drunk Cop Before Chaos Ensues
ew York law enforcement officers pulled an off-duty cop over, suspecting him of driving drunk. When they learned the cop’s identity, they proceeded to turn their dash cam off.
In the ensuing minutes, off-duty Syracuse cop Ty Cogan began yelling and cursing at Onondaga County sheriff’s detective Jeffrey Passino, refusing to be handcuffed, according to a Syracuse.com.
Two more law enforcement officers got involved as Cogan began kicking and biting and breaking an officer’s glasses, according to police reports.
At no point during the struggle, which included moments where Cogan was either allowed to sit in his car with the keys removed or was laying on the ground with his hands cuffed behind him, refusing to allow himself to be placed in the back of a patrol car, did Passino ever think to turn the dash cam back on, even though there were points when he was sitting in his car.
In his report, Passino said he only turned the camera off when he recognized Cogan as an old high school friend, making no mention of his law enforcement status.
