FloriDUH mandates Asian American history education while banning African American history

In May by a vote of 112-3 the law was passed according to NBC.

Florida will join Illinois and New Jersey among the states that require AAPI history as part of the curriculum. Illinois became the first state to require such education in 2021. Lessons must include “the history of Japanese internment camps and the incarceration of Japanese-Americans during World War II; the immigration, citizenship, civil rights, identity, and culture of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders; and the contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to American society" according to the bill.

"I am often treated like a perpetual foreigner, especially during my childhood," said Make Us Visible Florida Director Mimi Chan. "If I had learned about the civic contributions of Asian Americans, I would have felt proud to be an Asian American, especially here in Florida where Lue Gim Gong's innovative cold-resistant oranges saved the citrus industry when cold fronts came through.”

The bill received unanimous support in the Florida Senate and passed the Florida House by a 112-3 margin.

The problem is the disparity. I’m for all education.

Clearly this is a wedge move to divide communities. Sadly those from both backgrounds will not understand that they are being used and pitted against one another. This TikToker says it best.

"It's not clear why he keeps getting attacked...

No one is taking any satisfaction in this…”

— Stephanie Gosk, opinion pusher referring to Larry Nassar attack, MSNBC

Dear Stephanie,

It’s clear why and some people are very satisfied about this.

Happy Summer Solstice!

I will be out until the sun goes down tonight relishing this, the longest day of the year.

I always look forward to this day, but, when it arrives, also feel sorrowful.

Knowing that half the year’s gone and the days will grow shorter until six months from now is a summer bummer. It’s my reminder to wring the most out of each day going forward.

Hope you do too. Enjoy your summer!

DU's DOJ/FBI/CIA LEGAL experts surely know exactly what Garland et al knew.

So by all means, trust them.

There could not possibly be any reason our experts can fathom WHY there might’ve been delays.

The DOJ should explain their every move now — even if they lose their case(s) so the experts know everything, even though the DOJ has never been expected to reveal their every move before.

AND of course Republicans are also calling it a witch hunt.

Hats off to whoever took this past weekend to create this flimsy excuse for a narrative for the both-sides contingent.

Between China and Russia's alliance and the Saudis increasing presence

I think we’re already seeing the results of Trump’s espionage.

Trump’s breach has created porosity in our nation’s security that has them pretty much acting like foxes circling a henhouse.

What Trump did can lead to grave circumstances for all of us. It’s just a matter of time.

He needs to be under the jail.

IF Hillary or Hunter or Biden were arraigned do you think they

would be granted the courtesy of keeping passports and skipping mug shots?

Would they be given the most deferential treatment including an openly biased judge?

Hell. No.

If it’s always BOTH SIDES then be consistent.

No contact with any witnesses ABOUT the case except thru counsel.

Judge firmly held on this. Nauta still travels with him. That’s huge.

ETA: There’s so many witnesses in his circle that the pundits (ABC) are suggesting the judge’s order goes too far. They expect Cannon to overrule this.

NBC: Lester Holt: “Is he running for president or … for acquittal?” Obvious Republican “panelist” who’s name is inconsequential responds with “half of Republicans have a problem with the indictment…”
