madamesilverspurs's JournalOh, so THAT'S why!
I have been informed, by a supporter of a certain former mayor from Vermont, that there's only one reason anyone has for supporting Hillary: "gender reactionary hysteria."
This same person, who professes to be a member of Mensa and uses that status frequently in an effort to shut down discussion, is apparently quite thin skinned. She did not take it well when her "explanation" had me laughing so hard that I nearly peed myself.
Dealing with trollage
A couple of Hillary pages that I frequent on facebook have been getting heavily trolled. So I made this and post it as a reply.
Please feel free to borrow.
Where's that thread(s)?
Okay, somewhere between midnight and three a.m. I read a couple of posts that listed the times when Sanders expressed dislike/disdain for Democrats. Now I can't find either one.
Help, please?
Huh.
Well, thats interesting.
My group of friends has been about evenly split between Sanders and Clinton. Its been an amicable division, primarily because weve worked hard to keep it that way. When things have gotten testy elsewhere, weve made it a point to stand together as DEMOCRATS. Weve gone so far as to invite each other to fundraisers, just to demonstrate that we are all still on the same side.
That said, its gotten a bit more uncomfortable the last few days. It hasnt yet devolved into incivility, but theres definitely an awkward edge that is increasing incrementally. The customary badinage and smiling fist bumps have apparently left on sabbatical, darn it.
Then, a few minutes ago, I got a phone call. It was from one of the fellow committee workers from our local party, and the call was about the continuing planning for an upcoming party event. Once we got that squared away, there was a moment of silence before she continued. Given that shes been a steadfast Bernie supporter I was a bit surprised when she inquired about the Hillary t-shirts Ive been working on; then she ordered one, in her size. That was it, and she said a rather cheerful good-bye as she was off to spend time with her grandkids.
Interesting, indeed. And Ill give her a gentle hug when next we meet.
Bernie knows.
He knows that he will NOT be the nominee.
He also knows that wont change by his debating Trump before the California primary.
He also knows that it would help Trump and do nothing to support the Democratic cause.
If Bernie really believed that he would be the nominee he would agree to debate Trump AFTER the convention. Debating Trump now would signal nothing more than a vengeful willingness to scuttle Hillary.
Bernie knows.
And so do we.
Que sera sera
Hillary will not be indicted.
She will be the nominee.
She will trounce Trump in November.
And I will not miss the gleeful grave dancing schadenfreude that has stunk up this place for far too long.
