Dave Wasserman of Cook Political report - is calling the GA election

I've seen enough: Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) defeats Herschel Walker (R) in the #GASEN runoff, giving Democrats a 51-49 majority in the Senate.

I've been following a youtube channel and they just finished sailing around the world in a 54' boat.

I've watched numerous episodes from their 10+ year circumnavigation and found them to be liberal anti-trumpers and cannabis enthusiasts, so I was hooked from the start.
Here's the episode announcing they've completed the loop.

Arrest made after vandalism at Lake in the Hills’ UpRising Bakery and Cafe that led to cancelation of much-anticipated drag show

A suspect has been arrested after a bakery in the village of Lake in the Hills was vandalized, which led to the cancellation of a much-anticipated, family-friendly drag show set to take place at the bakery Saturday, according to a Lake in the Hills Police Department Facebook post.

“Regarding the vandalism to UpRising Bakery and Cafe,” the police department wrote on Facebook. “The suspect has been arrested. More information to follow.”

UpRising Bakery and Cafe was hosting a “Starry Night Brunch Drag” show at the store beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, according to Facebook. The event, which was sold out, was advertised as a family-friendly evening filled with food and entertainment.

Plus another area business found out the PB's were planning some awful stuff as well, posting this on social media.

ETTD - Everything Trump Touches Dies

By most accounts we are in the midst of a real estate boom (bubble sounds more like it), but those who live in a Trump-branded property may be suffering from the stigma of his name and brand.

Christopher M. Crane, the president and CEO of Chicago-based Exelon Corp., on Thursday took a loss on his two-bedroom, 2,063-square-foot condominium on the 39th floor of the Trump International Hotel & Tower, selling it for $1.32 million.
Crane paid $2.05 million in 2015 for the condo unit, meaning that he lost $725,000 on it over seven years.

Crane first listed the condo in 2016 for $2.09 million, but took it off the market the following year. He relisted it in late April for $1.7 million, and he went under contract just five days later.

The car dealer really wants Mrs. Snark's leased vehicle back.

Boring stuff, but a quick heads up...

Mrs. Snark is a public official in our town, an acquisitions editor for a book company, and also does accounting work for another village.
She works hard and contends with lots of difficult folks, so she rewards herself by leasing a car and swapping it out every few years.
I drive cars into the ground and am currently wearing-down a 2015 Ford. Prior car was a 2000 Pontiac w/ 175K miles.

I looked up the trade-in value on her car, as the lease is up in a few months and was shocked to see it's worth nearly as much as the sticker price was 2 1/2 years ago.
So the vehicle is worth around $7,000 more than the residual value shown on the lease contract. Rather than surrender this windfall to the dealer, she's decided to buy the car.
Part of the calculus is that new cars are quite pricey and in short supply right now, so swapping into a new one would piss away the $7K in equity, as well as subject her to bubble-type prices on a narrow selection of new cars.

First world problems...right?
Well anyhow, if any DUers read this and become aware they're sitting on a unexpected windfall, I'll consider this a win.
