I got the same call that I got 30 or 40 times..

Some special deal on "electricity." If I switch to this other company, I will save 25 percent.. I pick up the phone and listened. I know the exact language, and after 4 or 5 words, and l heard the same voice, I hung up. Why? call me 4o times. I have asked them to take my number off the list,,and they said they would, but they didn't....So what is the deal?

...It is simple, that company doesn't give a crap about taking people off the list. They know a certain number of calls, will result in a sale, and certain number of repeat calls will also result in a sale. It may be a very small number,..but the owner of the company knows there will be a sale at some point. If not from me, from someone else..looking for a "special deal on "electricity"...

How do I know?...simple, ......If this scam didn't work, that company would be ....OUT OF BUSINESS ...that is no more calls. ...................but....................................I keep getting these calls.........Why?..................

The company is making money this way......, that is why.........If this wasn't working, they would be out of business...oh....so you don't thin that is it????

What about "Toys are Us"?....out of business.. why? not making money...why? cheaper toys elsewhere..
What about certain "department stores"?...........out of business..not making money...Why?..cheaper stuff elsewhere...........Nash- Rambler..made cars.. those did not sell..no more..

If this scam did not work, and the company did not con people...that company would be out of business..But they are still in business, making those robo calls..For several years....same call...special deal on electric service....You may not fall for it, but some people do.....if they didn't, this company would be out of business.

But.......It is still in business.....

"Trump's Lies and Your Brain"... Politico Magazine, Maria Konnicova:

All presidents lie. Richard Nixon said he was not a crook, yet he orchestrated the most shamelessly crooked act in the modern presidency. Ronald Reagan said he wasn’t aware of the Iran-Contra deal; there’s evidence he was. Bill Clinton said he did not have sex with that woman; he did, or close enough. Lying in politics transcends political party and era. It is, in some ways, an inherent part of the profession of politicking.

But Donald Trump is in a different category. The sheer frequency, spontaneity and seeming irrelevance of his lies have no precedent. Nixon, Reagan and Clinton were protecting their reputations; Trump seems to lie for the pure joy of it. A whopping 70 percent of Trump’s statements that PolitiFact checked during the campaign were false, while only 4 percent were completely true, and 11 percent mostly true. (Compare that to the politician Trump dubbed “crooked,” Hillary Clinton: Just 26 percent of her statements were deemed false.)

Those who have followed Trump’s career say his lying isn’t just a tactic, but an ingrained habit. New York tabloid writers who covered Trump as a mogul on the rise in the 1980s and ’90s found him categorically different from the other self-promoting celebrities in just how often, and pointlessly, he would lie to them. In his own autobiography, Trump used the phrase “truthful hyperbole,” a term coined by his ghostwriter referring to the flagrant truth-stretching that Trump employed, over and over to help close sales. Trump apparently loved the wording, and went on to adopt it as his own.

comment by Stuart G:......I guess this is not a new subject. Looks like it has been researched before. (date of this article is early 2017) And it will be researched again. I wonder if someone has done research on Giuliani's lies?... I suspect that has been also done.

Giuliani: "The president will not lie." CNN, Chris Cuomo:

https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2018/05/18/rudy-giuliani-intv-president-not-lie-perjury-trap-russia-investigation-newday.cnn

In an interview with Chris Cuomo today, Giuliani says that if he is interviewed by Mueller, that the President will not lie to Mueller. That is what Giuliani said this morning. This statement is getting reported all over the world.. Why do you suppose that might be true?...You mean that Giuliani is guaranteeing us that in a future discussion with Mueller, that Trump will not do the one thing that Trump always does. ??

No, I did not make this up. It is indeed at the link, and many other links if you google the subject..

I guess Giuliani is an "expert" on this subject..

Mueller will get Trump. Only question is .."when"..not "if"

..I got to thinking about a doctor who is being charged with crimes of taking advantage of patience and the insurance companies to the tune of millions. The "feds" got him. You can see the story in Latest News Forum. The doctor who treated arthritis thought he could "get away with it" Bought a plane and drove a Rolls Royce. But the "feds".." got him. "
Mueller and his team are among the best investigators in the entire country. The team has specialties in all areas of this investigation. That team, like the team on the doctor, will get "them"...It isn't him, it is "them" Muller is not new. He and the people he consults and works with have been doing this for many years.

We are all impatient. That is how we are. This Trump is an awful crook. But Mueller and his team will get him. Why so sure? Trump doesn't seem to care about "the law." It appears that many in Trumps gang have "broken the law"...
..."Mueller and his team are experts at catching people like Trump. In all areas that Trump and his gang may have "broken the law." It will take time. One person agreeing to cooperate with Mueller accusing another for a shorter sentence. It will go up the line. It will take some time. Mueller and his team want to get the crooks. Mueller's team will get them. All of them..

Doctor accused of fraud and misdiagnosing patients to fund 'opulent lifestyle'

Source: CNN

Zapata went to see Dr. Jorge Zamora-Quezada a little more than five years ago because one of her knees was bothering her. The rheumatologist told her that she had arthritis and that he'd give her injections "to strengthen the cartilage" in her knee, she said.

Her husband asked, "Why are you giving her so many injections?" The doctor reassured them that the treatment would help

But Zapata, 70, of McAllen, Texas, said the medication didn't help and might have been making things worse: There was discoloration on her legs. Other doctors raised concern about the treatments, and her family doctor even told her she didn't have arthritis.

Zapata was not the only patient given treatment she might not have needed, according to a joint federal and local investigation.

A task force investigating Zamora-Quezada announced Monday that he was being indicted in a fraud case involving $240 million in claims that were in part based on "fraudulent statements" to be submitted to health care benefit programs, resulting in $50 million paid to the doctor.

I have seen stories like this before, and two ideas stand out. The greed of these doctors is incredible. It has no end..All they want is "more
...Second, doctors who take the government's money in this way, or steal from the patients they treat, are sure that they will never get caught. The arrogance is beyond anything imaginable. If someone robs a bank, they have a feeling that they will likely get caught.
...These doctors and this one in particular, are sure no one will ever question what they do. They think the government is "too stupid" or "too busy" to even look at this. He is a doctor, why would he "lie" about treatment. No one will look into it this doctor thinks.
...I guess he is wrong on many counts.

Donald Trump is Not Sorry Ever, Byron Wolf, CNN:

Washington (CNN) — People seem surprised, for some reason, that the White House has not issued a public apology to Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain.

But they shouldn't be. If there's an implied mantra of President Donald Trump's political life, it is this: Don't apologize. For anything. Ever.

In this case, it would be for an aide's leaked comment during a private meeting that McCain's opposition to CIA nominee Gina Haspel doesn't matter because McCain, who is suffering from brain cancer, is dying anyway.

It was an obnoxious comment about an American hero. But it was not apology-worthy in Trump's White House. In the pantheon of Trumpian insults, it barely registers.

An Opinion About the Israeli Massacre.

This is being downplayed as a major world event...Question ? How does one compare this to other world events?...In Las Vegas on October 1, 1917 58 were killed and over 800 injured. In Gaza, 60 killed, thousands injured.
... This event yesterday is horrific and awful beyond belief. Soldiers of the Israeli Army killed when they did not have to kill. (my opinion.) The U.S. has already prevented a U.N. Investigation into the killings which took place yesterday. From a few pictures that I have seen, the Gaza protesters did not have guns..They were using stones and other methods to fight the Army. This is a major event in the Middle East and in the world. The U.S. news reports are not treating it in a way that signifies it's importance.....Only time will tell. Very sad and horrific.

Killings in Gazza, A New Embassy in Jerusalem, Peace as Distant as Ever

Killings in Gaza, a New Embassy in Jerusalem and Peace As Distant As Ever

By DAVID M. HALBFINGER 3 minutes ago

JERUSALEM -- Across the Gaza Strip on Monday morning, loudspeakers on minarets urged Palestinians to rush the fence bordering Israel, where they were met by army snipers. At least 60 were killed and thousands injured, local officials said -- the worst day of carnage there since Israel invaded Gaza in 2014

Hours later, a beaming Ivanka Trump helped unveil a stone marker etched with her father's name on the new American Embassy in Jerusalem, keeping his campaign promise to officially acknowledge Jerusalem as Israel's capital. An audience of 800 religious conservatives and right-wing politicians from both countries sang "Hallelujah."

"What a glorious day," exulted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Kelly Sadler made a remark about McCain on Thursday...today is Sunday..That's it..

Inappropriate and ugly beyond belief. But 3 days later, no apology....No one in the inner circle of Trump has ordered her to apologize, or fired her

Yes, people say stupid and insensitive things. but you apologize. But not in this case

Not yet...So, maybe tomorrow?? Want proof about stupid and insensitive people in Trumps organization. Well this is the proof Proof beyond description. Proof beyond doubt.

well...........maybe tomorrow........??

Here is a NY Times story about this refusal to apologize..:

The Federal Communications Commission Thursday finalized its largest robocalling fine in history against Adrian Abramovich, a Florida man who is charged with making nearly 100 million spoofed robocalls in just three months.

Abramovich, who claimed in Senate testimony that he was "not the kingpin of robocalling as alleged," must now pay the FCC's $120 million fine or bring the dispute to federal court. Notably, the FCC's second-largest fine in history, which asks for $95 million, related to a robocalling operation that was charged last August for allegedly making about one-fifth as many phone calls.

Abramovich, who asserted Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination in his Senate testimony, could not be reached for comment. However, the FCC alluded to -- and soundly rejected -- his legal response to the FCC charges, in which Abramovich claimed he did not mean to cause harm or wrongfully obtain anything of value.

"Mr. Abramovich didn't just have the intent to defraud or cause harm. He actually caused harm," countered FCC Chairman Ajit Pai in a prepared statement. "Just ask his victims -- a number of whom are elderly -- who were duped into purchasing travel deals under false pretenses."

The FCC fine is part of a multifaceted effort to crack down on robocalls, which have spurred more than 4.5 million complaints to federal regulators in recent years. The complaint against Abramovich and his companies, Marketing Strategy Leaders and Marketing Leaders, said these companies made some 96 million computer-dialed calls over a three-month period.
