It is a month old, but interesting.

Former NBC "Today" show host Matt Lauer is one of the latest -- and most prominent -- men in media to be toppled by allegations of sexual misconduct.

The industry reckoning began more than a year ago, when former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson claimed in a lawsuit that she was fired for refusing sexual advances from network head Roger Ailes. He left the network about two weeks later.

Since then, the names of have piled up: Bill O'Reilly, Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Louis C.K., Mark Halperin and Michael Oreskes, among others.

More than a dozen men have been accused of sexual misconduct, harassment or assault in the past year. Here are some of the most prominent men in media and entertainment who have faced such accusations.

About the cold weather...I thought I knew, but I did not.

or, Something I learned a long time ago.
______________________________________________________________________________________

Back in the late 70s there was a cold wave where I live. It was colder than it is now. I remember it was a -13 degrees that morning, with a wind chill of -75 degrees. It had snowed, and there was lots of snow on the ground..Anyway, I thought I knew what to do.

I would go out and jog a mile in the bitter cold.

So, I put on a whole lot of layers of clothes, and lots of underwear and sweaters and lots of extra protection. Why? Because I thought I knew, what to do.

And out I went, I was going to beat the cold. And it was cold. Very cold. So, I jogged a mile in the cold. Fortunately, I didn't slip in the snow..and I kept going. I was outside about 15 minutes and then I finished my mile run, and came in. I was totally proud of that one mile run..I thought I knew, but I knew nothing.

As I look back, I realize that was indeed one of the stupidest things I have ever done. Snow is the worst thing go run on, but I was lucky. I didn't slip or fall. Also, the body doesn't process that cold air very well, but I survived that without any consequences.

Fortunately, I really did learn something. I learned that it was not a good idea to go out and jog a mile in very cold weather on snow. So, for today, I am not going outside and jog a mile.

Thank You for reading this.......about something I learned a long time ago.

About Stuart G

I thought I knew a lot, and I found out... how little I knew about what I know. And how much more there is to learn, if I listen and read what others have to say.
