Austin, Texas (CBS HOUSTON) – A small Texas brewery unveiled a 99-pack of beer that will bring the more than seven-foot long cases to select stores in the Austin area this week.

Austin Beerworks launched a large social media campaign to announce the creation of a 99-pack of “Peacemaker Anytime Ale” beer that can be purchased in stores for $99. The launch of the massive, seven-foot long case of beer is set to coincide with the start of school – and football season – at the University of Texas this weekend.

“We’re a small brewer,” co-founder Michael Graham, told CBS Moneywatch. “We only sell in our hometown. We’re pretty amazed at how quickly it spread everywhere.”

The Peacemaker Anytime Ale is described as a light beer with a “slight biscuit/cracker character” and a “faint aroma of floral and citrus” from the Centennial hops. Austin Beerworks took to social media and YouTube to launch the first-ever 99-pack of beer.

In Rand's weighty tome, America's bravest, wisest industrialists and inventors—the kind of job creators we lowly leeches suck dry of lifeblood—quietly leave an increasingly collectivist and crumbling American society and follow their capitalist working-class hero, John Galt, to form a completely transaction-based community in the Western wilds.

Plenty of Rand-y acolytes have dreamed of fleeing Obama's (and Clinton's and Carter's and Johnson's and Kennedy's) America and entering the warm, dopamine confines of their own Galt's Gulch. Last year, one group appeared to have succeeded with a settlement in Chile—"a fully self-sustaining community" that would enable individualistic immigrants (with sufficient funds) to fully renounce "the oppression of the over-regulated, over-taxed, war-riddled and welfare-riddled society consuming the world." They take Bitcoin and everything.

But all is not so sweet. Wendy McElroy, a "Canadian individualist anarchist" of some note, bought a 1.25-acre plot in Galt's Gulch Chile last year, or so she thought. She wrote a blistering post Monday suggesting that the Real Men of Genius behind the settlement are grifters, or incompetents, or both:

For that reason, Loco’l aims to price each of its items between $2 and $6.

Although the Loco’l team has yet to reveal a complete menu, Choi said it would feature multicultural cuisine that mimics the current appetite of the American populace. That means tacos, falafels, rice bowls, salads, and, yes, hamburgers. Healthier hamburgers, though: the beef will be mixed with tofu and Choi’s colleague, Chad Robertson, is currently developing a whole grain fermented bun just for the restaurant chain.

Herman Cain took the conservative rhetoric of "impeachment bait" to the next level on Thursday by theorizing that President Obama is actually trying to get impeached in order to "laugh at the Republicans."

"I believe that he'll do it, and here's why," Cain explained in a radio interview. "First, it's going to stimulate some lawsuits and he knows that it'll take time for those lawsuits to make their way through the court system."

"So they'll play upon the slowness of the justice system," he said. "The whole reason that he would do that is to try and get the Hispanic vote of November of this year."

"They are padding Democrat votes for this upcoming election," he added.

The former presidential candidate and current radio host delivered the remarks in an interview with Trunews, which touts itself as "the only newscast reporting the countdown to the second coming of Jesus Christ."

Conservative politicians across the U.S. are using voter fraud as a scapegoat to pass laws — like voter ID requirements or reduced early voting — that are making it harder for certain constituents to cast their ballots. Such laws were once considered to be wholly unconstitutional.

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 (VRA), which basically banned racism at the polls, is the most successful civil rights law ever enacted by the U.S. Congress. But in 2013, the Supreme Court — specifically Justices Roberts, Scalia, Kennedy, Thomas, and Alito — undid a VRA provision that cleared barriers to voting in areas where minority voters were heavily silenced at the polls.

The decision was a shameful exercise in either missing the point (which is really hard to believe) or simply not giving a shit about the consequences. Their message: Times have changed! Just look at all these black people and their votes!

On Thursday, the California State Assembly passed the nation's first "Yes Means Yes" bill, which was passed by the State Senate in May and is now waiting to be signed by Governor Jerry Brown.

As previously reported, Senate Bill 967 sets a standard of requiring "affirmative consent" in sexual assault investigations, which means that the students in question must have affirmed to each other verbally or physically that they wanted to have sex with one another. It's different from the previous "No Means No" mantra that many college campuses went by, which often meant that the person alleging that they had been sexually assaulted was penalized for not saying specifically that they didn't want to have sex. Additionally, under affirmative consent, "Lack of protest or resistance does not mean consent."

It's unclear whether Brown will sign the bill, but student activists at California's many state colleges are rejoicing and the bill's sponsor, Senator Kevin de Leon (D-Los Angeles), was not hedging when he told the San Jose Mercury News that it represents a "paradigm shift."
