The fix is simple except for the politics of the 1% and their toadies in Congress

..... Raise the income cap from it current $118,000 to make every dollar earned subject to 6.2% SS withholding. Currently Congress members making $176,000 only pay SS tax on the first $118,000. The remaining $58,000 is SS tax free. Don't punish the low end... tax the high end.
