Are_grits_groceries's JournalA timeline of what happened in Delray, FL when cops invaded a group of people to make arrest:
@coryprovist live-tweeted this when it was happening. This was a summation of the events as he saw them. If you go back in his timeline you can follow what happened. The police started a hot mess and became scared and aggressive when they were out-numbered. They were lucky that they didn't start a full-scale riot with casualties. The people were restrained in their reactions which saved the situation. This is exhibit A in how not to handle a 'problem'.

they were met with 30 very confused people. And were asked to leave the private property

the 2 officers were being instructed by a 3rd officer (whom didnt rush onto the property)

to leave the yard...they did not. They got into a back&forth which resulted in an angry crowd

Police were the aggressors and the crowd reacted to that energy.

they had full control of how the situation would go and made the choice to create hostility.

the media coverage left out quite a bit. Except really the police version of things.
@coryprovost: @elektrikgypsy @daneyvilla @newyorkyearzero e.g.
they mention a police car was damaged...but the homeowners car was also damaged.

police came back about 3-4 hours after everything happened to arrest him for inciting a riot
