HuffPost - Unsealed Election Doc Reveals Incredibly D'oh! Mistake By Rudy Giuliani
The former lawyer for Trump made an oops in getting the word out to push fraudulent voting plan, prosecutors say.
By Ron Dicker
Oct 3, 2024, 07:03 AM EDT
Former Donald Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani texted the wrong number when instructing someone on how to overturn the 2020 election results in Michigan, according to a court filing that was unsealed Wednesday.
The embarrassing tidbit was among multiple revelations in prosecutors four-count felony charge against the former president for his efforts to subvert the 2020 election and his alleged role in the Capitol attack that followed.
Giuliani, who unsuccessfully litigated claims of balloting fraud on behalf of Trump in court, also pursued other avenues to reverse tallies in swing states that legitimately went Joe Bidens way.
In a passage intended for a person identified by Politicos Kyle Cheney as a Michigan GOP leader, Giuliani typed, So I need you to pass a joint resolution from Michigan legislature that states that, * the election is in dispute, * theres an ongoing investigation by the Legislature, and * the Electors sent by Governor Whitmer are not the official Electors of the State of Michigan and do not fall within the Safe Harbor deadline of Dec. 8 under Michigan law.

Sec Pete & POTUS with praise for Longshoremen workers and shippers for agreement
Secretary Pete Buttigieg
Great news tonight for workers, shippers, and our economy as ports reopen with an agreement on a major wage raise.
I'm thankful to the ILA union & USMX companies for reaching this deal. DOT will continue engaging at every level in the supply chain as operations return to normal.

President Biden
I applaud the International Longshoremens Association and the United States Maritime Alliance for coming together to reopen the East Coast and Gulf ports and ensure the availability of critical supplies for Hurricane Helene recovery and rebuilding.
Collective bargaining works.

ProPublica: Top Execs Exit Trump Media Amid Allegations of CEO's Mismanagement and Retaliation
ProPublica - Top Execs Exit Trump Media Amid Allegations of CEOs Mismanagement and Retaliation
Several people involved with the former presidents company, operator of Truth Social, believe the departures were retaliation following internal complaints about CEO Devin Nunes to the company board.
by Robert Faturechi, Justin Elliott and Alex Mierjeski
Oct. 3, 7:25 p.m. EDT
Former President Donald Trumps media company has forced out executives in recent days after internal allegations that its CEO, former Rep. Devin Nunes, is mismanaging the company, according to interviews and records of communications among former employees.
Several people involved with Trump Media believe the ousters are retaliation following what they describe as an anonymous whistleblower complaint regarding Nunes that went to the companys board of directors.
The chief operating officer and chief product officer have left the company, along with at least two lower-level staffers, according to interviews, social media posts and communications between former staffers reviewed by ProPublica. The company, which runs the social media platform Truth Social, disclosed the departure of the chief operating officer in a securities filing Thursday afternoon.
ProPublica has not seen the whistleblower complaint. But several people with knowledge of the company said the concerns revolve around alleged mismanagement by Nunes. One person said they include allegations of misuse of funds, hiring of foreign contractors and interfering with product development.

Philip Bump - The rights newest false outrage centers on misrepresented federal data
No, the Biden administration didnt welcome 13,000 immigrant murderers into America.
Column by Philip Bump
September 30, 2024 at 12:54 p.m. EDT
A few days before the 2016 presidential election, a deeply weird mini-controversy emerged: Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton or her staff were maybe Satanists?
The path to that conclusion was a meandering and patchy one, as you would expect, involving a (probably willful) misinterpretation of an email released by WikiLeaks after having been stolen from Clintons campaign chairman by Russian hackers. Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and others suggested that a dinner invitation from a well-known contemporary artist was instead an evil ritual that perhaps informed the motives and ethics of the woman who would be president.
I think about that flare-up regularly because, while it seemed idiotic in the moment, it offered a glimpse of what was to follow. A month later, a man brought a rifle to a D.C. pizza joint because he believed there were children being trafficked out of its nonexistent basement. A few years later, the idea that an anonymous government official dubbed Q was predicting a war against rampant pedophilia ensnared tens of thousands of Americans (or more) in the QAnon movement. In each case, small, imaginary things were taken out of context and amplified through right-wing media outlets to be presented as huge threats. The spirit cooking email Jones highlighted was just a microcosm.
These were also just the most obviously ridiculous offshoots of a rampant pattern embraced by the Republican nominee for president. Few people, if any, have been as relentless as Donald Trump about picking out bits of information that are misrepresented as something catastrophic. Trump does it so often, in fact, that it has become something like background noise to his political career: the most powerful person in right-wing politics once again saying something false based on something hes misrepresenting.

RawStory - Revealed: Anti-Trump Larry Hogans ties to Project 2025 and billionaire MAGA donors

As wealthy Republican donors funnel millions into Larry Hogan's U.S. Senate campaign, the former governor of Maryland has distanced himself from former President Donald Trump and the controversial conservative presidential transition plan, Project 2025.
Yet, according to a Raw Story analysis of federal financial records, Hogans campaign has still benefited from donations from billionaire Trump supporters and individuals working at organizations involved with Project 2025.
Hogan is running in a surprisingly competitive race in whats typically solidly blue Maryland against Democrat Angela Alsobrooks. Last week, a poll from the Washington Post and the University of Maryland shows Alsobrooks, a Prince Georges County executive, with a double-digit lead over Hogan, who was previously heavily favored by voters in a March poll.
The Republican presidential nominee endorsed Hogan in June, but Hogan confirmed in an interview with CBSs Face the Nation on Sunday that he would not be voting for Trump, whom he said he didnt vote for in 2016 or 2020 either.

Donald Trump is the reason special counsel Jack Smith's court filing that includes new insight into Jan. 6 was not released sooner, Rep Zoe Lofgren says.
"He has done everything he could to delay this through frivolous appeals ... That's why this wasn't done a long time ago," she tells Amna Nawaz.
