About my handle, ProudProgressiveNow. In my state, liberal/progressive is a "pejorative." I have and always have been a social justice progressive activist in the civil rights community. I am proud of that! When I joined DU, ProudProgressive was taken, so I added "now" to the the end to illustrate my pride in who I am.
