Sword Coast Legends

I *really* want to like this game. I wanted to like it so much that I pre-ordered. Now I went with the budget build of 34.99, which isn't TOO spendy considering you can pay $125 for all of the DLC and DA:Inquisition.

When I could play it, making a randomized dungeon and a custom dungeon the developers made for headstart testing, it was kind of fun. It is based upon the 5e ruleset, which so far, is not my favorite. They have done away with THAC0 and other mechanics.

A massive problem with the game is that it causes video cards to overheat. Playing around with settings doesn't really help, it just makes the game look uglier and prolong the inevitable crash. If you are lucky, it crashes to the desktop. If you aren't your entire system locks up.

Bottomline: It is in no way ready for prime time. It was supposed to be released tomorrow, but they have pushed the launch forward to late October.

I'm glad they made that decision because it shows they have a commitment to making the game playable.

Good GOD the netcode and trying to play multiplayer (which is one of it's biggest selling points - you can DM vs. 4 players) is currently as stable and pleasant as a Florida maniac on bath salt eating your face.

Hopefully it will improve before launch.

Discovery of liquid water on Mars

I've always been fascinated by physics, chemistry, astronomy and the idea that mankind and all earth-kind are not alone in the universe.

The law of averages pretty much guarantees that across billions of planets, some of them have life. Life finds a way, and maybe *all* of them have some sort of life.

Finding liquid water ups the ante that there might actually be some life on Mars.

I just find this whole discovery intriguing!

Will they find life?

I'm late to the party but Shadowrun: Dragonfall the Director's Cut is amazing

It's a turned based RPG, but has action points like Fallout.

What a damn gem, and it's CHEAP!

This is exactly what turn based RPG combat should be.

It's the best $14.99 you will spend if you like Fallout type games.

My comments to the DNC that I sent today.

It's become blatant that Debbie Wasserman Schultz is incompetent at leading the DNC.

She thinks so little of our Democratic candidates, that's she's afraid for them to debate too much. Is she aware that the first debate takes place 5 days AFTER the deadline for people to register and vote in the Democratic primary?

Everyone knows that this is a tactic to help Hillary Clinton, so what does it say about her candidacy that she needs the DNC and Debbie Wasserman Schultz to play games in order for her to become our nominee?

The optics are horrible. This is not what Democracy looks like.

Feel free to let them know what you think, too.

Bernie Badger just don't care.

He's taking on the billionaires, the PACs, the SuperPACs, and whatever stinging remark sent his way.

The Bernie Badger just don't care! He just goes on, not giving a crap about what is confronting him, and still don't care.

Exhibit A: It also has white hair

Exhibit B: Others besides himself benefit.

Here's why Bernie Sanders is going to have trouble with

voters that use hair products.

While his fly-away hair is seen as trendy among his more radical supporters, the fringe he sports causes raised eyebrows with more moderate voters.

Many Americans just aren't prepared to elect a President who occasionally appears with his hair sticking up. While voters are interested tangentially in policies and platforms, the fact that the Vermont Senator has been spotted with wind-blown locks is of great concern for many Americans.

This business of limiting debates is not a good strategy

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is going to sink the ship with this debate limiting garbage and especially the timeline. The deadline for a Democrat to register as a Democrat to be able to vote in the primary in New York is *before* the first damn debate.

Has the DNC lost their marbles?

Here we sit, and the Republicans have already had 2 debates and we aren't going to have another one for nearly a month.

That really chaps my ass. Why in the HELL would you want to limit your party's candidates face time and opportunities to differentiate themselves from the clown car?

Over and above that, look at the optics. It's like the DNC and DWS have no faith in their candidates to be able to sustain more than a handful +1 of debates. Our candidates aren't that damn bad.

What's for Dinner, Sat., Sept. 19, 2015

I've been craving Chinese food, so I'm going to cop out and do take out.

I've been looking for a recipe that is the deep fried boneless chicken with the brown sauce and the vegetables, but I have been unsuccessful. For now, I'll have to cheat, but if anyone has a recipe for me to use in the future, it would be much appreciated

Republican Debate Theme:

"I'm a crook, and I promise I will out-criminal anyone that has ever held the office before me.

I am so elegant at stealing retirement funds, little old ladies offer me catfood meatloaf when I visit them.

I believe in our country, and in the United States. I just don't want to associate with 99% of you poor people, and if I grace you with my presence, you should be thankful that I recognized you exist. Now get another job."

Public Safety Announcement

Do not play drinking games while watching the clowns debate tonight, because the words Obama and deficit will give you alcohol poisoning.

What a dreadful looking bunch of assholes they are.
