Naomi Klein Takes Down Hillary Clinton: ‘I Don’t Trust Her on Climate at All’ (VIDEO)
When it comes to the Democratic presidential frontrunner’s position on one of the most pressing issues facing humanity, author and journalist Naomi Klein isn’t mincing words: She says flat-out that she doesn't trust Hillary Clinton on addressing climate change.
"I don't trust her on climate at all," Klein told Al Jazeera’s Mehdi Hasan, in an UpFront interview scheduled to air on Friday, March 18. "As secretary of state, when she had a huge megaphone to make this an issue, to show that she understands the connections between human security and climate, she didn't use the megaphone."
Klein, a fierce critic of corporate capitalism, also questioned the rationale behind Clinton’s White House bid:
The logic of her candidacy was because she had so much money […] which is why she is unbeatable — look at how deep the pockets are there. But the irony is, it’s where that money comes from and the entanglement of the Clinton Foundation with so many corporations and so many governments, that is what makes her vulnerable. So on the one hand, it’s supposed to be what makes it inevitable, and on the other hand it’s what I think makes her a weak candidate.
She called Bernie Sanders a "significantly better candidate" than Clinton. "I think that Bernie Sanders could win in a general election," she said.

Tourist killed by train while stalking legendary ‘Goatman’ monster on Kentucky railroad bridge
An Ohio woman was struck and killed by a train while looking for a mythical creature that, according to legend, tricks people into climbing onto a railroad trestle.
Roquel Bain died of multiple blunt-force trauma injures about 7:30 p.m. Saturday when she was struck and then knocked from the trestle in Kentucky, reported WHAS-TV.
The Dayton woman and her boyfriend had been visiting Louisville to take a ghost tour of the disused Waverly Hills Sanitorium, but the couple first decided to investigate the “Pope Lick Monster” urban legend.
“It’s been around for years, even my nieces and nephews used to go and come out here,” said Denise Harris, who lives nearby. “The Goatman, when they climb up on the trestles and they cross it — he’s supposed to come out when they cross it.”

Trump University Offers Sarah Palin Honorary Degree in Climate Science
Manhattan – Earlier this morning, Trump University issued degrees to 4,500 students online, and drew the attention of national media when the university announced several high-profile recipients of honorary degrees, sources say. Among those to receive honorary degrees, Sarah Palin was offered a honorary doctorate in climate science, a M.D. in advanced neurosurgery, and a PhD in “having total class”.
“We doctors are the shakers and the movers, the pokers and jokers, the wheelin’ and the stealin’, Obama’s been to that mountaintop, that I can tell you…” Palin told a crowd of the stupidest humans alive Saturday morning. “Let’s get that Trump Train behind us, in front of us, in our hearts, our minds, our mouths… Get the word of mouth out for Donald!”
Palin has been in the headlines this week after questioning whether or not Bill Nye, “The Science Guy” was in fact an actual scientist. “Bill Nye is as much a scientist as I am,” Palin said at an event in Washington, D.C according to The Hill. Palin targeted Nye over his statements on global warming featured in the anti-climate change documentary “Climate Hustle”.
Donald also reportedly offered “one hundred degrees from my university” to John Kasich for his delegates, but the Kasich Camp has not responded to our request for comment, and sources close to the governor say he may be holding out for Vice President.

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz argued as a Texas solicitor general that there was no right to stimulate one’s own genitals, according to Mother Jones — but his former college roommate says Cruz is being a hypocrite.
Craig Mazin, a Los Angeles screenwriter and film maker, has made headlines in recent months for commenting on his unhappy time spent as the Texas senator’s college room mate.
According to Mother Jones, Cruz’s office argued in 2007 that “there is no substantive-due-process right to stimulate one’s genitals for non-medical purposes unrelated to procreation or outside of an interpersonal relationship.”

The Netherlands Will Ban New Gasoline-Powered Vehicles By 2025

We're used to radical transportation policies in the Netherlands, but this goes a step further than most anything we've seen: Starting in 2025, people there will no longer be able to buy a gasoline or diesel-powered car—even if they want to. By law, only zero-emissions vehicles will be on sale.
There is dissent from the political opposition over this plan, but it's surprisingly low-key, given what—in bureaucratic terms—is an incredibly short time frame. Imagine somebody trying this in the U.S.
The law will be easier to implement considering current the popularity of walking, cycling, and electric vehicles in the country.
According to Inside EVs, 43,000 new plug-in electric cars were purchased in the Netherlands in 2015. Overall, 450,000 new cars were registered which, says the article's author Jay Cole, gives plug-ins a 9.6% market share. And in the Netherlands, 31% of people there use the bike as their primary mode of transport, with 27% of all trips (not just urban trips) made by bike. Public transport is at 11%, and 49% of people still use cars as their main mode of transport.

Beauty business goes Big Brother: CIA funding skin cream that can harvest your DNA
he CIA invested in a cosmetic company to help develop a skin cream that can be used to secretly harvest DNA evidence.
Clearista is marketed as a painless way to erase blemishes and soften skin using only water and a special detergent — but the CIA is interested in the popular skin care product’s potential for gathering information about an individual’s biochemistry, reported The Intercept.
The CEO of Skincential Sciences, the company that makes Clearista, told the website that In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture capital arm, had invested in research and development of the skin cream — but he’s not sure what the agency intends to do with his company’s work.
“There’s no better identifier than DNA, and we know we can pull out DNA,” said Russ Lebovitz, CEO of Skincential Sciences.
The company has developed a patented technology that removes a thin outer layer of the skin, which reveals unique biomarkers that can be used for a variety of diagnostic tests — including DNA collection.
