Unless you're a male to female transgender person, or gone "undercover" as a female, it's can be very hard to relate to or understand.

And it blew my mind, because the guy got it. I never even thought of it in those terms.

Part of being progressive is wanting justice for all no? And being willing to listen and keep an open mind. Otherwise you're not any different from the right wing.

(BTW this applies to anyone, including white feminists who "Whitesplain" to people of color about racism and white privilege. I have seen some nasty comments from feminists about race, and this includes the feminists who think they're so ~edgy~ with their hipster racism. Changing the Kyriarchy benefits everyone, not just a select few. )

Manage Add On box in IE 10

All I see are a couple of columns with 1/8 inch showing. The windows to shows contents don't open up to see anything. At the bottom where it should show, I can barely see the top of the letters but I can't read them. They move with a mouse wheel but nothing else.

I've right clicked on them and it didn't help. Help!

All of the above happens. Are you ok with that? Do you think it can't happen to you?
The other night I heard tapping on my window. I couldn't see out there even with the flood light on Scared the hell out of me. (my biggest nightmare is seeing a face outside a window!

I heard it again. I'm thinking should I call someone? The cops? My friend? I live in the sticks so it would take forever for anyone to get here. I had a shotgun at one time but my ex has it now. (and his stupid brother stole it damn it)

Then I saw: It was my cat scratching his chin and making a rat-tat-tat sound, just like a person would.
What would you have done? It wasn't clear what it was and too many people would have shot first without seeing what they were shooting at.
I had my friends two dogs here, one of them a large pitbull hound mix, my pitbull, and two other medium size dogs. I lock my doors and windows even out here. I have good neighbors, and people around here know I have dogs, and a rather large male friend of mine randomly drops by.


I'd like my shotgun back, but I know it's not damn toy, to handle it only when needed, and it's always, always, always treated as if it's loaded.

If you get that mad over some valid points the OP brings up, and you have firearms? Hmm.

I have Windows 8, and hate it. I'm not a hacker (I wish I had the know how though) but I'm also not a newbie Luddite who hates change.
So: 1) I don't want to buy it.
2) I don't know if I can find Win 7 users. ***
3) Do you know of safe sites to download it?
4)Should I install Win 7 drivers before downloading 7?
What do the experts here recommend?

Touchpad settings: what do they mean?

Here is what I have:
A Toshiba Satellite 870.
Windows 8 (UGH)
Synaptic ClickPad V1-5
What do the various settings do, and where can I find out this out?
For example the wheel settings: the number of lines at a time for scrolling vertical and horizontal.
What does that even mean?

Any links that explain what the functions are?

Also, my touchpad randomly disables on its own. I've reinstalled the driver, and I then have to enable it in the device settings.
F-5 does not work when this happens.

Hello. Ages ago, I saw a comment mentioning President Ikeda on DU. I cannot remember who wrote it or where it was. I am 47, my parents were introduced to Nichiren Buddhism when I was 5, (in Riverside, California)so I was raised within N.S.A. I've been practicing since I was 16.
There are maybe 8 members within a 100 mile radius in my area. I'm smack in the middle, luckily. The nearest discussion meeting is 50 miles one way. Is there any other member in the same situation?
