about HATING the color of another persons skin. Period. Poverty is something that has nothing to do with white racist hate. Black poverty is a condition brought about, usually, by racism. Racist hate of another person because of the COLOR of their skin is a choice. Period.

you know black people can't force white people to do a damn thing. You missed the point of this thread also. It's not about the word itself, but how white people, RWers and others have used the word to describe only actions by blacks, young males in particular. Since the nword cannot be used openly in polite society by whites anymore, a new word had to be found to disparage black people. Trayvon Martin was the start of this round and growth of the word thug to describe young black males. Language, when used by people who hate to disparage others not like them, is not a joint venture.

control issues

I had a thought as I was drifting off to sleep last night, that one of the main reasons for white racism is firmly entrenched in the need for control, over the 'others', by this society's privileged class. POC, descendants of the slave, especially need to be controlled. And deep seated fear and control issues are just one or two of the reasons for racial hate in this society. Am I wrong?
