It isn't just about the creditworthiness of the U.S. government.

Members of Congress should have their names on the line for bills they rang up, too.

Surely they will realize that a debt ceiling law cannot be valid. It conflicts with reason.

Payment is implied and authorized when legislation passed by both Senate and House receives the President's signature. The debt ceiling law is in conflict with almost every other law!

Should the entity they have elected to represent become financially insolvent, responsibility for payment is left to them.

Tell Congress. Pay up and get out!


Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, but yes, even I realize there are probably at least a dozen ways Members of Congress would weasel their way out of paying for the bills they authorized, so don't bother explaining this to me. However, I know I am right. If these idiots won't go peacefully, vote them out!
