Netflix: Nigerian Prince - Available until Aug 13th

This movie popped up as I was browsing my Netflix feed.

I gotta admit, I was intrigued by the title of the film. "Nigerian Prince"...

An American boy, Eze, gets sent to an aunt in Nigeria to by his mother after getting in fights at school....
OK just the premise...Some families, of other ethnicities also do this.
They feel "finding your roots" will straighten you out.
Or "getting away from America" will "straighten you out"

However, there really is nothing in Nigeria culturally that is good for this young man.

At first, it is nothing but culture shock and an overbearing aunt.

Eze wants to go back home to the US, but his parents won't let him.

Eze's cousin is a professional scammer (Nigerian Prince scams and more)

Instead of getting straightened out, Eze gets drawn in the underbelly of the scam world, hence the title of the movie: Nigerian Prince

About LeftInTX

Always a Democrat. I can't understand conservatives. I try to understand them, but I can't. They don't make sense. Our country has gone so far right since 1981. I was just an average American who took many Democratic values for granted when Reagan was elected. It was like the rug was pulled out from under our society. Reagan ruined our country.
