Thanks for sharing the beautiful icon.

Wouldn't it be fun to see a name for each saint depicted?

It was Republican candidates Trump and Carson who wanted a shorter debate, though

CNBC says it was scheduled to be 2 hrs. all along.

In earlier Republican debates, it was the lower-polling candidates who complained that they didn't get enough air time.
With 10 onstage, someone has to get short-changed.

"Both just stubborn". It happens. I guess at least we - observers-

learn a little about life and human nature, and how we can best live our own lives.

It's sort of sad when people we have known for years go out of our lives

rather suddenly.

As a senior, up in years, I'm beginning to see illness and death, and even dementia among friends and acquaintances of long standing.
We give one another a hug on meeting, which we wouldn't have done in younger days.
We know our days are numbered, we just don't know the number.

You have to wonder how the second man, 84, felt upon learning of the death of his former friend. Wonder if he had felt badly, or regretted that they had grown apart. Was the hurt so bad that it couldn't have been gotten past?

Me, too. Mostly issues this time, but I've got my absentee ballot

and will vote for two judgeships, unexpired terms.

With 1 billion dollars, why doesn't she hire private security?

Then she wouldn't have to fear being kidnapped.

Good list, but I (personally) would only buy and give candies which

I could eat if there are any leftovers - which I've had in recent years. Not so many young children in my neighborhood in recent years, and weather plays a part in how many arrive.. Also no sidewalks or street lights, and it's hilly.

That (unfortunately) leaves out any taffy-type, including Bit'O'Honey, Charleston Chews, Tootsie rollscaramel chews, etc., all of which put my fillings in jeopardy.
Therefore, the mini candy bars - yes, Twix, but also 3 Musketeers, Snickers, Reese's, M'n'M's, etc. work very well in my household.

I also used to raid my children's loot for malted milk balls, but I don't see much of that around anymore.

Maybe Rubio wouldn't like the job being president either.

Mrs. Palin didn't like being Alaska's governor either, so she quit.
Guess Rubio & Mrs. Palin don't like being public servants.

It's true that, if done well, public service demands a lot of work.
