IrishAyes's JournalWhether it passes or not, we need to run that up the flagpole to mark parameters.
And then push with all our might, not letting up for one second no matter how long it takes!
I was almost born to boycott; took to it like a duck to water.
Makes me a lot of fun to go shopping with. My folks used to swear it was the first word I ever spoke. Wonder where I heard it??? Now, anything Eden Foods makes is off limits. I grow a reasonable portion of my own food anyway - what do I need with them? Good riddance to bad rubbish.
I have, however, ordered a tee shirt with the letters 'NOTORIOUS RBG' above a picture of Justice Ginsberg. She was soooo right. This is a Pandora's Box they've opened, a real can of worms. They'll rue the day.
Love the OP and responses. Sorry I came in late. Thanks for saving me a seat.
Apparently the subject's timeless, though. Have to sweep house now and then.
Not for one blinkin' second do I think the trolls accidentally stumble in here. That's why alleged apologies tend to fall on deaf ears with me, gauged somewhat on the original nastiness of the poster (that type's NEVER really sorry) and how they behave after said alleged apology. Some have just gotten nastier. They're the worst. Anybody who'd fall for their bs, give me a call in the Bridge 4 Sale Department. And no, I don't feel sorry one bit when a troll gets its feelings hurted.
If I ever did try to forget, my ancestors would rise up out of the ground and
beat me over the head with one of those 'No Irish Need Apply' signs.
Of course he won't. He already knows everything.
Wouldn't everyone's life be ever so much better if people would just keep whistling past the graveyard the way 'polite' society has always demanded? If nobody says anything about it, nothing exists.
President Obama has been the greatest president ever for ANY group,
even the haters - they just don't know it. Yet. I just found out that someone I know here in town has a massive medical bill now. Her insurance company went out of business and she hasn't yet bought any Medicare supplement policy because, as you can imagine - she's afraid those ObamaCare death panels will find her. I wanted so much to ask her if she fears her Medicare, but I'm afraid she'll reveal the deep dark dirty secret that Medicare's not (??) government intrusion.
There's something in the general human spirit of many
that loves fascism because they mistake it as a good cover for the evil in their hearts.
Not a good choice.
Thanks. I'll check it out.
I also posted an edit on my reply, in case you missed the second crazy story. I learned to loathe my ex, but I have to admit I developed certain survival skills due to his influence. At least I'll keep blaming him until a better excuse comes along for why I am the way I am. If I ever decide it's good, I'll be sure to take credit.
Let's keep everyone in the path of the storm in our thoughts and prayers.
You want to hear something stupid? My ex and I were in our 20's at White Sands; our house was on the perimeter, so we'd sit on the back patio many evenings just to watch the terrific storms that really weren't all that far away. Now in my late 60's I wonder if we weren't playing chicken with each other. Of course the beer probably made a difference too.
He was a professional photographer among other things, and once in the mountains I scooted out on the narrow ledge of a nearly vertical boulder with a drop of several hundred feet. My toes extended over the side, the ledge was that narrow. STUPID BEYOND COMPARE, but it made a dandy picture. Looking back now, I wonder if I wasn't also trying to convince him that he'd never be able to scare me, because he certainly tried his damnedest.
I'm absolutely certain that's one of many reasons I like President Obama so much, though; he's so unlike my ex.
Thanks for the OP.
Every once in awhile I watch video or tv with the sound off - it's how I learned a lot - and this turned out to be a great opportunity. Everyone ought to watch it that way at least once before turning the sound on. We should know what his voice sounds like by now anyway, right? Good way to study lip reading too. OK, so sometimes my idea of entertainment doesn't always match the most popular; but I wish everyone would try that at least once. It teaches close observation too. Handy for spies, detectives, and entertainers.
Now I'm ready to turn the sound on. Thank you again.
